We chose this unique stay for the location. It was wonderfully remote, made all the more surprising and special as we were the only guests. Beautiful place, and the adventure starts when you get on the free ferry to the island. Timo one of the managers could not have been more hospitable. He prepared a lovely dinner for us, taking time to tell us about the ingredients. Like gooseberries from his garden. Nothing was too much trouble. He even left hot chocolate out for us after we went on a midnight kick sled adventure round the island. Breakfast was a feast, with porridge made from barley and a spread of cheese, bread, meat. Even a glass of fizzy cherry juice. Only shame was he was not there both nights we stayed. So dinner and breakfast the next day was not as good. But overall it was a lovely place run by kind, friendly hosts. Plenty to do for two days. Snowshoeing on the frozen sea, kicksledding, walks, sauna. We had a night walk and we felt like the only people for miles around! .
