Fountains Guest House（噴泉客棧）(Fountains Guest House - Harrogate Stays)

I usually bring a cat with me to size up the room that I have been allocated. Needless to say that I could not swing the cat in this room ( no real cats were used for this test). I have seen monk’s cells that are larger so I was disappointed as the website purported that this Guest House was up there with the best. The shower was small but had a good force of water but try and shave using the small sink! As breakfast was not until 08.00hrs which I thought was a tad late I left early having to travel a fair distance. The shrubs surrounding the sign need trimming as seeing the sign was awkward. Parking is available at the rear and with good sized spaces.

Great location within easy walking distance to town centre. Room 8 is at the top of the house so up a few flights of stairs. It’s was a large room with en-suite. It was just so hot, we had the windows open all night. A fan was provided but didn’t make a huge difference to be honest. The bed was ok but the mattress on the left could do with updating as it sunk toward the middle. En suite was small but adequate with a great shower. Parking for a few cars round the back and permits provided for when full. Breakfast was included and fantastic with great selection of cereals, yoghurts and cooked options. We would stay again.

We had a warm and comfortable two night stay made all the better by Sue the housekeeper who is very amiable finding nothing a problem. Oh the breakfast was very good and filling also, a great stay. Love Harrogate lots to see and do accessible to visiting lots more interesting sites

Cannot rate this place enough. Great location, short walk into town passing a few great bars. Christie's one to visit. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Lovely bed, pillows and duvet. Great shower with lovely shower gels and shampoo. Lovely toiletries and lovely selection of refreshments in the room. Lovely Border biscuits. Parking which was free. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful. There was a lovely selection of cereals and a great choice of hot food made to order. The best guest house we have stayed in and for visiting Harrogate would definitely be returning and recommend to anyone else.

Fantastic. The location is quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The shower is out of this world. A delicious, made-to-order breakfast is available at 0800. The staff is so kind and generous. The entrance is secure and has a cypher lock for access. The location is within walking distance of all the restaurants, shops, and cafes in Harrogate. The price is excellent, and we will recommend this accommodation to all our family and friends visiting Harrogate.

Not for us – Room was dusty and tea stained on arrival. Owners do not live on site, keypad entry. No heating or hot water one night for a few hours so had to shower in another room, fortunately it wasn’t the night before as the guest house was full. Breakfast was delicious and Sue, James and Sid looked after us extremely well.

From the easy online booking process via the clear, welcoming arrival instructions, including a whatsaap message on the day, to the friendly helpful staff this was a great short break. The Fountains is a short walk into town but still in a quiet area near the Conference centre. There is a small car park but also a supply of daily parking vouchers for the immediate area available in the hall. The property has electronic front and room door locks so no need of manual check in and the room we had was modern and decorated to a high standard. Small details are well catered for even to the extent of having flasks of fresh milk in the lounge fridge for each room rather than inadequate UHT sachets. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and the staff were helpful and friendly especially with my wife's dietary requirements. A great find for us.
