Holiday Inn A55切斯特西(Holiday Inn A55 Chester West)

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. We started with a little problem, but once brought to their attention, they took care of us. There is an elevator to the 2nd floor. The other option is 2 flights of stairs... With heavy cases, it would be challenging. There is an onsite restraunt and the food is good, a Mcdonalds close by and also a diner. Im not sure if it would be possible for them to make some changes, but here are some things we noticed. There is no ice machine. Had to ask at the bar for ice. It could do with a coin-operated washer and dryer. I tried to use the phone and was told it wasn't working for out side calls, needs an alarm clock in the room, larger extractor fan in the bathroom to remove the steam when showering, there was some mold on the ceiling because the fan could not remove the steam gast enough. The water pressure was not good.

So noisy is our only complaint you can hear every footstep from the upstairs room. And if you wanted fresh air and your windows open you can literally feel the vibrations of traffic passing by.. other than that everything at the hotel was great.

Great stay. We haven’t been for around 6 years so we’re pleasantly surprised it was still as it was back then. Comfortable and clean, with a nice restaurant and friendly staff

The hotel was very well presented and clean, the room was very clean, tidy and big in size, the room service was good, was very impressed with the quality of food and portion size! Overall we were very pleased and would stay again

We had a room by the lifts. It was really noisy, people shouting and knocking on the doors at 1am. People outside the windows at the front being very noisy. We mentioned this in the morning was told we should have told reception, as they would have advised people to keep the noise down. But this should have been standard practice. Air con/heating didn't work in the room. There was a stand alone plug in heater, which really is unacceptable, as there should be fitted heating. Couldnt leave it on all night or control the temp, so the room was extremely cold in the morning.

The hotel itself was agreeable. As a tourist in town overnight, the staff helped me settle in and were incredibly helpful. The only inconvenience is that it is not walkable to town because it is near a motorway. Therefore, one had to rely on taxis. They did however assist in booking one for me. Again, the staff was very helpful.

First of all i want to say the staff are exceptional at this site so this poor review in not reflective of them at all. As we walked into the site it was obvious it could do with a renovation as the decor was dated. We got our room key and headed to our room where we was greeted with a room that was stifling heat wise. So i went to turnnon the air con to find it was not working. So i went to reception to be told that none on the air con units were working as they wernt plumbed in but we'd been given 2 fans... these barley caused any air to circulate which came to our next problem where we couldnt open our windows all the time as our room was directly above the smoking area... why youd put this so close to the rooms is beyond me. I spoke to reception again regarding this but as there was a wedding party arriving the following day we couldnt be moved. Which also caused issues at night as people who were smoking were also talking thus waking our children up. Also with our bath ot was more like a tiny paddling pool only suitable for small children and not full sized adults. Barely long enough fo my legs to be straight and not even deep enough for my toes to be submerged when my heels were on the bottom... overall the staff are great but the hotel is substandard to say the least
