Boutique hotel. Good location. Possible to walk along the beach to Turtle Beach to see sea turtles in their natural habitat. Service excellent by the manager and his team. Beautiful rooms. dinner and breakfast were very tasty - but facility needs maintenance. No hot water in the morning. AC stopped working in the middle of the night so got hot and stuffy. Many mosquitoes so bed should have needed nets. Outside lamps not working. Pillows and blankets smell mold. Can’t recommend until upgrades and maintenance performed.

My regret is that I didn't stay here more nights. The service was excellent. The beach and pool were so beautiful. There is a good Italian pizza restaurant close by if you're craving something other than local food.

Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato a villa Saffron a marzo 2024 Siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti la villa è vicino alla spiaggia e vicino ai punti di interesse ed è molto pulita La casa è molto bella ed arredata con gusto ,il giardino è incantevole . Il personale è stato molto disponibile ,in particolare ringraziamo Kasun e Malindu per la loro gentilezza . La colazione era deliziosa ed abbiamo deciso di pranzare e cenare sempre qui perché il cibo era fresco e molto buono. Abbiamo trovato un eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliamo vivamente villa Saffron a coloro che desiderano venire ad Ikkadua

A very comfortable stay. It is about 20 minutes from the Baddegama exit on the E01 expressway, and 25 minutes from Galle on the Galle toad. The food was a little limited. We rented four of the five rooms in the main section of the villa...the four spice named suites without Garden. Meal choices were a little limited and they don't have a concept of half board. They have to go and buy ingredients for what you order from the menu so you have to order your dinner in the morning. The food was well executed but not exactly plated or anything. It is a very good option for families. If it is raining you have to leave the main dining area as they are no screens in case the rain beats in. The rooms are large and the four poster beds are soft and comfortable. The rain shower in the upper floor is run by a pressure pump so if the power fails you have to use the hand shower. The power was intermittent on our last day.

Manager Sunil and all the staff at Villa Saffron, took exceptional care of us. We travelled with two children and they were very helpful and accommodating. The Villa was beautifully curated and a relaxing a**osphere to spend time together. Thank you. We hope to be back soon.

Villa Saffron is an amazing location for a relaxing trip. We went for a family trip with 4 separate couples and 2 small children. We stayed 3 nights. The food was excellent, the staff awesome and the rooms luxurious. It is immediately on the beach so you can go walking and swim in the surf, before coming back to the large swimming pool. The living areas make for great days and evenings with a group of people where you can relax, play games and so on. Would highly recommend to anyone doing a trip around Sri Lanka.

Villa Saffron exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website probably do not do justice well enough to how beautiful this very private villa is. Then we come to the staff who were all so welcoming, helpful and hardworking, always looking to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The food was wonderful and very reasonably priced. We had a group of 12 occupying the whole villa which was perfect for us but I can see that couples or smaller groups could easily coexist occupying shared bookings as there are so many open and private spaces to enjoy. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Villa Saffron for a unique Sri Lankan beach holiday.

Fabulous villa, like a scene out of a movie. Beautifully appointed, meticulously clean and staff bent over backwards to ensure an excellent stay. The Chef was amazing and prepared both traditional and western food which was excellent. Head of staff was super helpful and knowledgable and provided us with whatever we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a little luxury and quite escape. Easy walk from Villa to the end of the peninsula to see the Sea Turtles.
