高馬赫(High March)

I would want to highlight this b & b was lovely. My host, Stewart was warmly welcomed. His hospitality was fantastic. This unit has a great view overlooking the loch. The room, amnities, food and service was tip notch. I would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be returning guests on our next trip to Loch Ness.

We stayed at the High March B&B during a family vacation to Scotland. My wife and I have stayed in high quality B&Bs all over the UK, Ireland and Europe and this was one of the finest. The house was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. More importantly, it has a fantastic view of Loch Ness. Stewart and his wife were outstanding hosts. They spent time giving us great travel and sightseeing recommendations as well as suggestions for restaurants. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. I highly recommend the High March to anyone touring the Scottish Highlands. I know that we will definitely return.

Located five minutes outside of Drumnadrochit, but the owner gave us excellent directions and we found it without a problem. You do need to drive to find somewhere to eat (and there’s very limited choice in the evenings), but the owners recommended the Loch Ness Inn which we dropped in to before arrival and the food and beer were excellent Warm friendly welcome by the lady of the house, showed us around and explained everything. Room was excellent – very spacious and all controlled by Amazon Echo (including the heating). View from our window was across Loch Meiklie and there were even binoculars in the room for a better view. Coffee / tea making facilities with an array of snacks to help ourselves to if we wanted. Bathroom was great with large walk in shower. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only, but it was stunning. Wide range of pastries, cereal, fruit etc with a selection of cold meats and different cheeses – one of our favourite breakfasts of our two weeks in Scotland. The hosts Stu and his wife were first class – excellent conversation over breakfast Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this part of the country.

The perfect B&B. Super location; glorious view of loch from rooms and garden; comfy rooms; good breakfast; welcoming, thoughtful, personable host family (inc delightful young daughter). Glen Afric, and the Glen Afric walk, nearby are spectacular.

Stewart was a wonderful host, the breakfast was fantastic, and the room very clean with extremely comfortable bedding. Located just a few minutes from town, it’s an ideal location to relax and recharge in a friendly, quiet environment.

Outstanding views, accommodation, rooms. Stewart is very attentive giving information on places to visit and eat. The whole place is very clean, tidy and well presented. The views are to died for ... we were here for 5 days of pure comfort and luxury lacking in nothing and by far more than the usually B&B better than most 5* hotels. Breakfast served each morning to your table and very tasty it is too. We arrived day after summer solstice and the views through the night were breath taking kept waking up to have a look. Next morning a spectacluar sun rise and beautiful days lay ahead for our exploring. Thank you for making our Anniversary so special.

1st visit! won’t be the last. The most wonderful place to rest! Great rooms, great breakfast, great hospitality, wonderful view. Great place for visiting highlands. Stewart was a lovely person with a smile every morning, is informative and knows the area well. Thanks and see you again soon.
