萬豪海角飯店(Marriott's Ocean Pointe)

Firstly, I have booked two bedrooms oceanfront with two King beds. Unfortunately, the hotel manager said that this type of room is not available right now. Then I mentioned that it is available at Marriott website for today. She answered that it not actually available. I had to accept a two bedroom with one oceanfront view. Secondly, the hotel water at the bathrooms and the kitchen was not clear. It was light yellow like rusty.

The most horrible experience I have ever had at a Marriott property. The building I was in was being renovated and they didn't tell us. Construction noise all day even on Sunday. The housekeeper kept knocked on our door at 8am to push us to checkout then proceeded to squat barefoot outside until we left. The staff yelling across the atrium at one another in Creole. Two young guys (staff) waiting at the bottom of the one working elevator for the entire building rapping obscenities like *****. I just stayed there last year and it has gone downhill horribly.

Reserved an Oceanfront room but was given a room overlooking the inlet. They say the property considers these "Oceanfront". Our room was in a building furthest from the main pools, bars, and other hotel amenities. About an 1/8 mile walk. Building was undergoing major renovation work with machinery running even on Sunday. Cranes and construction material took up over half of the parking for the building and created a maze to get to a spot. One elevator was for construction use only leaving one for guests. I will not be returning to this worst example of Marriott properties.

This hotel was under construction. The corridor was filled with dust and dirty which transferred to the hotel room when walking. Drilling started at 8:17am in the morning. You cannot get housekeeping after 11pm because this is a vacation property. Not a proper hotel. It is an embarrassment to the Marriot brand. The Front Desk people don't care. The place actually felt unsafe. Never would I recommend this place to anyone.

So disappointed in this hotel. It’s not close to a 4 star hotel. Place was run down, front door had tons of mold on it. It’s like a low quality extended stay America on the beach. Do not stay if you want something nice. Ocean front rooms are not even facing the ocean, nor can you hear the ocean waves. Avoid.

This is not a 5 star property. At best it’s 2 star quality. I was given a different room than what I paid for. It was supposed to be an ocean view room and it was no view. The property was awful. Badly in need of renovation. The picture of the hotel is of the Marriott up the street, but they put me in a different building that’s not nice at all and has terrible beachfront next to an entry way to an industrial port. I’m surprised Marriott operates a hotel this dishonest and gross.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very nice. We liked the added security required to scan your room key before the elevator would move. The staff was very friendly.

On-site food was not the best. No one was monitoring the pool area furthest south and it was gross. The adults were out of control, extremely drunk, blasting music, throwing up right next to pool, I can go on …. ☹️ very disappointed.
