蘭特霍夫卡塞爾飯店(Renthof Kassel)

Wer wüsste es nicht zu schätzen, wenn man der sterilen A**osphäre moderner Komfort-Hotels auf Reisen entkommen könnte, ohne auf ihre geschätzten Annehmlichkeiten verzichten zu müssen? Nur wenige Hotels in Deutschland ermöglichen das so wie der Renthof in Kassel. Schon im Eingang umfängt einen das geschichtsträchtige Gemäuer direkt an der Fulda – dort, wo vor über tausend Jahren die hessische Residenzstadt entstanden ist. Die einmalige Verbindung von Alt und Neu begleitet einen dann durch alle Räume, ob im Restaurant, in der Lounge, an der Bar, und an warmen Tagen und Abenden im Innenhof. Überall möchte man verweilen. Nach köstlichem Essen und ruhigen Nächten in unserem so funktional wie geschmackvoll ausgestattetem Zimmer bleibt uns nur ein herzliches Dankeschön an das Personal und das Hotelmanagement.

Wir sind 5 Sandkastenfreunde, die mittlerweile über Deutschland/Europa verteilt wohnen, und sich einmal im Jahr treffen. Dieses Jahr wäre es mal wieder in der Heimat in Kassel gewesen. Ich hatte den Renthof als Unterkunft gewählt, und bereits im März Zimmer gebucht. Leider mussten wir das diesjährige Treffen absagen, und ich stornierte die Zimmer bereits im Juli. Damit war die Angelegenheit für mich erledigt. Für den Renthof nicht. Er verlangt jetzt 90% der Kosten, mit der Begründung, es hätte sich um einen Frühbucherrabatt gehandelt. Was nicht stimmt. In meiner Buchungsbestätigung steht allerdings, dass ich bis einen Tag vor Anreise kostenfrei stornieren kann. Eigenartiges Geschäftsgebaren, wo ist due Kundenoritierung ? 🤔🙁 Schade, dass vergangene Erfahrungen mit dem Betreiber doch wieder bestätigt werden...😔 Renthof - Nein danke👎

Das Hotel hat mitten in der Stadt seinen ganz eigenen Charme und ist sehr schön renoviert. Die Ausstattung und das Ambiente sind sehr schön, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend Man kann zur Markthalle laufen und weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar.

We had a wonderful two days stay in this historical hotel that was once a monastery. As we had motorbike we had to park in the garage behind the hotel as the steep, cobbled ground made it unsafe to park. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was small but comfortable overlooking the beer garden. We received a voucher for a complimentary drink at the bar which was a nice touch. We loved the mix of the modern boutique hotel whilst preserving the history and architecture of the place. We didn’t have breakfast but had a great evening meal in the restaurant. It had a great location near the centre of Kassal and the river. When we stayed there was a festival with music, food and beer stalls which we enjoyed. We would recommend this hotel.

Der Renthof "a**et Geschichte". Die Lage Nähe Stadtzentrum und Fulda ist ideal. Das Gebäude und die Zimmer sind liebevoll restauriert und stilsicher eingerichtet. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend, das Essen im Restaurant ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen wieder.

The place itself is ok - nothing fancy, but actually quite charming. However, if they are having an event during your stay, and you want to get some sleep, you probably need to find another hotel. We had 1 night at Renthof, as a stop during our travel back home, after a 10 hours drive, and before an 8 hours drive. When we arrived, we realized that the hotel was hosting a wedding on that day. The room we got was small, but cozy, however, sleep was impossible, due to the sound coming from the party downstairs. Not only the sound was incredibly loud, but the whole room was rattling from the bass' vibration. We were given a room further away from the core of the party, but did not help much. That meant a sleepless night, and a bad experience. If avoiding to rent rooms right above the event place is not a possibility, it would be nice (and considerate) to at least send out a warning in good time, so the guest can choose whether to endure the sleepless night, or to find somewhere else to get some rest. As a side note, I suggest that the 'sound-isolated rooms' statement from the description here in the page should be modified.

A mid evil Abby converted to a hotel. Our three room suite was quite large and beautifully furnished. The staff are friendly and helpful. Located next to a river and a huge park, there’s both serenity and activity easily available. I think the hotel is in a ideal location when visiting Kassel.

Struttura fantastica ricavata da un antico borgo medievale, zona bar e ristorante molto caratteristici con camino cuoio e legno. Tutto molto eco sostenibile e curato. Personale gentilissimo colazione un po’ essenziale ma molto buona. Camere molto curate nei dettagli e accoglienti, nella mia mancava la cassetta di sicurezza ma penso avrei potuto richiedere una camera provvista alla reception. Parcheggio comodo. Prezzo assolutamente giusto.
