阿爾伯特飯店(Albert Hotel)

El hotel esta muy bien i bien situado. Las habitaciones estan muy bien i bastante completas.la cama comoda. Dispone de un bar i restaurante. El personal es muy amable, i professional. Muy recomendable tanto en pareja, como con amigos. Hotel excellente.

Excelente hotel. Habitación espaciosa, cama cómoda y buenos productos para usar en el baño. Hay una pava eléctrica para preparar café o té de cortesía, junto con unas galletitas, y mantas de sobra. Todos los empleados muy amables. Recomendable 100%!!!

Situé non loin du port, cet hôtel ne correspond pas en terme de rapport qualité prix à notre attente. Trop cher. Douche/ baignoire, pas de meuble dans la sdb pour poser ses affaires, aucune décoration, insonorisation très moyenne : vous entendrez la télé de la chambre voisine... Petit déjeuner réapprovisionné au compte goutte...et rien de transcendant . Nous avons voulu faire un check Out vers 17h et personne à la réception, ni à 18h ni après... Mais peut être est ce le standard dans cette région Pour information, à 17h en mai tous les commerces sont fermés. Quant au restaurant, c'est de la cuisine sans prétention. Mais soyons positif, l'Écosse est un beau pays donc cela compense 😉

The hotel has been refurbished to a good standard relatively recently, was comfortable and well maintained. Our room (superior) had space for a desk, small sofa and small table so we had plenty of space to spread out and for our clothes. The hotelier was welcoming and very helpful, as was the service throughout. The hotel is conveniently placed close to the waterfront in Kirkwall and in easy walking distance for the main attractions. Although there is no complimentary parking, it is only a couple of minutes walk from the town's free parking. Breakfast was basic but OK - we had the continental each day so cannot comment on the cooked breakfasts Like others in Kirkwall I suspect, they have trouble in recruiting staff so the Bothy Bar was only open at weekends, but the main restaurant, with a bar, was open. We ate in the restaurant for 3 of our 5 nights there, partly out of convenience and partly because few restaurants were open in Kirkwall at the start of the week. The food there was average , but not expensive. Dishes looked good on paper but often were slightly over-cooked. Choice of wine by the glass was weak. Overall, the Albert was a very good place to base ourselves in Orkney

Noisy location with a lot of noise outside at the weekend and youths shouting at each other when the bars in the surrounding area close. Very poor quality breakfast, the bacon and sausage were over cooked - perhaps even deep fried. The room was okay but tired and not worth what we were charged in mid January (off season).

The Albert Hotel is nearly impossible to find which is not what you need at the end of a long tiring day. Thw names of the Hotel or the lane on which it is located are not visible while driving nearby.. Despite selecting for a hotel with parking on *********** only public parking was available.

The hotel is super central, and you can walk everywhere from here. It lies next to a bar, and it was a bit noisy when we stayed- but I think it closed at 23.00, so it was ok. Very nice people who worked there

We visited this hotel for a week in August this year, and had a lovely stay! The hotel is ideally positioned in the centre of Kirkwall, very close to the harbour, and we went on a few coach tours and ferry journeys, which departed from Kirkwall too. The hotel room was lovely and comfortable, with a varied choice of food for both breakfast and evening meals. We'd recommend it, and would return.

Good location close to main street with shops and restaurants, except for no parking. Property was a disappointment. Bed uncomfortable. Very small room and bathroom. Dreary and dated furnishings; not updated. No common area on the property to sit and relax. Pub on property nothing special and was closed some of the time. Breakfast was a very poor buffet- packaged pastries that would probably be likely to be found in a gas station mini market. Not a pleasant setting either. Hotel was overpriced for what it was.
