OK2 平房飯店(OK2 Bungalow)

We arrived to this accomodation and were in shock- we were meant to stay for 2 nights but decided we couldn’t even stay for one. It was absolutely filthy, bugs everywhere, there was one small fan with what looked like months of dust and mould all over it. Very rude staff and the owner (I presume) shouted at us when we said we wouldn’t be staying there due to the conditions. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!

Mama Jim Not 'OK' Bungalow!! We stayed here because of the amazing views across Shark Bay, however in hindsight we would have definitively stayed somewhere else and travelled to Shark Bay when we wanted to enjoy the snorkelling. The room we stayed in extremely dirty and we dont think it had been cleaned for a very long time. The bed had been changed however dirt and dust could be seen around the bed that had been there forever. The bathroom was also very dirty and the ingrained grime of thr floor tiles could be rubbed off by hand when wet. There was dirt and what looked like blood on some of the walls too. The fan that was provided was also very very dirty and rusty. We cleaned this before using it during our stay. Disgusting. We had no hot water while we were there and no water at all on the second morning. This was the last straw and although we had originally booked for 5 nights, we moved out after 2, and found alternative accommodation and we could not stay there any longer. Paying for double accommodation was a small proce to pay! Even when we went back on day 5 to check out, the room had not been cleaned, towels had not been changed and the bin had not even been emptied. The ironic thing is the staff all sit around the reception during the day (usually 4 or 5 or them together), not doing much other than keeping their eyes open to charge anyone who wants to gain access to the bay via the hotel steps, 50 baht each. If only they were as keen to stay on top of the room cleaning for the guests who have actually paid to stay there. It's such a shame the accommodation doesn't get anywhere near doing the location justice. This is by far the worst place we have stayed whilst travelling around Thailand for the last 2 months.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone! The reception can barely no english so they can’t help you with anything. The boss isn’t very nice or service minded, so you don’t get a good feeling staying here. On the seond day they hadn’t cleaned our room or the bin in the toilet, although they said the first day that they would. When we asked them to clean the room they responded that they couldn’t help us and we could talk to the boss through face time. It looks like the room hasn’t been renovated since the 90s, and the pillows and bed are all covered by black dirt. We know this since we needed to change our sheets ourselves the day we arrived. We also had cockroaches in our room, and some of them were already dead in the bathroom when we arrived. The restaurant takes ages before you get your meal so you got to have some time when you order something there. The only good things is the location and the view. But tbh, it’s not worth it. You can find something better and similar somewhere else with your money.

Nice low key spot, will stay again
