歐申塞德戴斯飯店(Days Inn by Wyndham Oceanside)

The lady working the front desk yesterday was kind friendly and helpful 11/4/23. But, the man I felt like he had an attitude when asked questions. The lady when I checked out today 11/5/23 she was friendly with a welcoming smile. In all I want to say thank you. My kids and I had a great time.

We found our ground floor room ok and thought it clean until we noticed our black feet. The excuse for this was that the laminate was new (which it did look) and they had not settled on which chemical to clean it with. Reception staff were helpful if asked, but generally cheerless. Otherwise, we had everything we needed and the location was ideal for touring. We had the pool and hot tub outside and could walk to the marina and on to the lovely beach. We could also walk to a couple of food outlets. It is adjacent to the gate of Camp Pendleton and although there are trains running by, they did not really cause us a problem.

Very basic but clean , great bed, and easy walk to the marina. Checked out to early for the breakfast. Staff was great. Best part was the dozen raccoons that came out at night to drink from the pool. Had to go watch and enjoy them all piled up to get their spot.

Admittedly I was nervous about staying at Days Inn because I've experienced some not so good rooms at Days Inn in other cities. I chose Days Inn in Oceanside because of the nightly rate offered on ********** and the reviews by other customers seemed encouraging. Check in was good. Our room was quiet, a nice size, and clean. Loved how close it was to the Harbor, and Oceanside Pier was only about a 5 minute drive and it was close to Camp Pendleton. My husband I will definitely stay here again next time we go to Oceanside. I would recommend Days Inn Oceanside for those who are looking for a reasonably priced accomodation and convenience of location. The only bad thing I have to say is the breakfast area needs a definite upgrade. Not very well stocked at all. The small refrigerator wasn't cold enough for the dairy products and the one time I took a container of yogurt out, it tasted sour, even though the freshness date was good. No milk available for cold cereal. There is a Denny's close by the hotel if one is seeking a better breakfast.

The pool and spa were closed due to “electrical problems.” The shower made an annoying sound like a tea kettle. The lamp kept blinking on and off. It looked like an old Motel 6 that they slapped a coat of paint on and called it a Wyndham. The pictures of the hotel were very misleading. The main exterior picture of what was portrayed as the hotel was actually of a shopping area in the harbor no where near the hotel.

Die Unterkunft hat uns gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Wir hätten gerne die Unterkunft mit sehr gut bewertet, aber leider war der Pool für uns nicht nutzbar weil er nicht beheizt war. Auch die Wasch- bzw. Trockner in der Laundry waren defekt.

Loved how close it was to the beach and the marina (10-15 minutes). Everything was in walking distance. The train runs through the back of the property, and I thought that would be an issue, but I really did not hear it. Breakfast was VERY basic, cold cereal, previously frozen Danish's, bread for toast (except the last day when they were out), oatmeal, yogurt, coffee and juice. Breakfast options, or lack of, would be the only complaint I had.

Hidden gem located right behind the harbor. Walkable to harbor area or 5 minute drive to huge parking lot. Rooms were extremely clean, fairly upgraded, and relatively spacious. Breakfast (included) had a good selection of items for all ages. View of the harbor from our second floor window was an additional benefit. Did not use the pool or hot tub during this visit. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Would definitely stay at this property again!

I love that this is close enough to walk to the harbor and the beach, there is a train track behind the property, and if you go down the walkway that's by the train tracks, through the parking lot of another property there is a short (not creepy) tunnel that leads you right to the harbor. What i didn't like- the pool was filthy, nobody used it the weekend we were there. Also something was wrong with our tv/remote control they have decent channels but our remotes stopped working after minutes I think we got about 5 or 6 remotes, when we realized you had to stand right up to the tv to change the channels. The shower was just ok its a water saver shower which I find the mist to be itchy. I think it's a decent hotel and the staff was friendly I would recommend. I wouldn't pay more than $150 a night and that's a stretch, but the beach makes it worth it. Del taco and Dennys are right next door and the harbor has a lot of dining options as well.
