Prima hotelletje op een goede plek in de stad. Het prachtige centrum van Leiden ligt letterlijk voor de deur. Uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, heerlijke ensuite kamer met fijne bedden en een hele grote en nette badkamer. Net geen vijf sterren omdat er een paar dingen een tikje beter zouden kunnen: - Parkeren is in een dure gemeentelijke parkeergarage op een paar honderd meter afstand, dus niet handig voor gasten met veel koffers. - De manier van binnenkomen om in te checken na 17.00 uur is totaal onduidelijk. Wij konden toevallig binnen omdat er iemand naar buiten liep. - De Nespresso in de kamer smaakte oud en was niet te drinken. - Het ontbijt is niet vooraf bij te boeken. Als je ontbijt wilt, kan dat wel. Het wordt dan gebracht door een restaurant om de hoek. Het is erg lekker en goed verzorgd, maar met weinig keuze en nogal duur. - De badkamer van onze kamer 5 was erg donker, zelfs met al het licht aan, waardoor je makkelijk het drempeltje voor douche over het hoofd ziet, met pijnlijke tenen als gevolg. - De sluiting van de deuren, met een karakteristieke ijzeren ring als greep, is nogal lawaaierig als je 's nachts even naar het toilet wil. - Er zitten geen handige stopcontacten in de buurt van het bedtafeltje, waardoor je telefoon (wekker) buiten bereik ligt te laden 's nachts. - De schakelaars van de bedlampjes zouden ook dichterbij kunnen zitten. Kleine dingetjes, maar wel belangrijk.

Steep spiral wooden stairs, no lift. Breakfast could be a little less food, I wasted much of it. Especially don't book the room on the top floor with the bathtub, you won't enjoy it. Only shampoo soap and body lotion in the bathroom - I would like to see better bathroom amenities to match the excellence of this hotel. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk to the station, mostly flat.

Vanwege het wat oude gebouw wel luidruchtig en hoor je heel goed als je bovenburen lopen. Verder echt een uitstekend hotel. Heerlijke bedden, mooie kamers, alles schoon. Perfect!

Het is meer verhuur van kamers dan een hotel. Bar was al vroeg gesloten en personeel was al vroeg weg, maar wel behulpzaam toen er een probleem met de tv en netflix was. Gelegen in het centrum. Op wandelafstand van enkle leuke lunch en ontbijtgelegenheden.

Steenhof Suites was a beautiful property. We were in the Presidential Suite as that was the only room left when booking, and it was amazing. Besides having a very large bedroom/living room area, there was a beautiful bathroom and gorgeous modern kitchen. To top it all off, there was a washer and dryer with detergent included! The property was renovated beautifully and had modern furniture which made it interesting in this old building. There isn’t a staff there 24 hours so you do have to give them an idea of when you’re arriving. They also don’t have a kitchen, but breakfast was brought in at the time you requested and was wonderful. I can’t recommend this property highly enough!

Ruime kamer met giga badkamer in het centrum van Leiden. Sfeervol hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Enige aandachtspuntje is dat het hotel wel gehorig is, maar daar helpen oordopjes uitstekend tegen. Zeker een aanrader.

What a stunning hotel! We were deeply impressed with the location and the management. Our room was exquisite, the breakfasts delightful. We could not have had a better stay anywhere else. We hope to return, and can recommend Steenhof Suites without hesitation.

Zeer mooi en schoon verblijf. Heerlijk ontbijt. Midden in het centrum, alles op loopafstand. Enig minpunt is dat het verblijf wel vrij gehorig is.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a 15th century building in the heart of Leiden. The hotel is in perfect condition, and the staff is very friendly an helpful. The reason that my rating is less than 5, is the absence of an elevator. More senior customers may find it difficult to climb spiral staircases to their rooms. It would be important to mention this in the hotel description.
