吉拉塞飯店(Killashee Hotel)

Excellent location, good stuff and peaceful environment. I like it and would recommend to everybody.

Room was nice but a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel. You have to go a floor up in the elevator, then walk to another elevator and go back down a floor to get to the room. Hotel had a lovely atmosphere.

Nydelig hotell. Stort, komfortabelt rom med flott utsikt over hagen og den eldste delen av bygningsmassen. Badet virket litt nedslitt. Nydelig anlagt hage. Servicen var tidvis ikke optimal. Vi ble tatt imot av en ikke spesielt hjertelig resepsjonsmedarbeider da vi ankom, og da vi skulle sjekke ut, opplevde vi at den som stod i resepsjonen tok imot en telefonsamtale mens hun holdt på å ekspedere oss. Under måltidene virket det som at personalet hadde utfordringer med å kommunisere med hverandre og å servere det som ble bestilt. Ut over dette møtte vi hyggelig personale, også i resepsjonen og under afternoon tea. Personalt i baren der vi tok et—par drikkeenheter var eksepsjonelt hyggelige og profesjonelle. Flott beliggenhet i rolig, landlig område, med kort avstand til Dublin.

Hotel troppo grande con troppe camere (dispersivo). Il WIFI non funziona in camera ma solo nella hall (questo è molto penalizzante). I servizi sono buoni, in camera macchina del caffè Nespresso e Dyson per asciugare i capelli. Molto apprezzata la palestra e la piscina. Colazione buona

The location and the presentation of the hotel was first class. Immaculately maintained and beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and efficient, although dining room staff needed some prompts for basic items. The room we had was excellent and provided all that we needed for that luxurious stay - with one exception: air-conditioning. Even with the window wide open the temperature in the room was uncomfortable and the option of using A/C would have been a welcome relief. The breakfast was excellent and all tastes could be catered for. Irish cooked to continental to à la carte. The dining room was impressive. The one major set back was an average evening meal, with a rather meagre and tasteless starter (scallops) and a well cooked but under-rested steak that oozed across the plate and turned everything red. Staff needed some prompts - spoons, water, coffee etc. The meal was well-cooked but we'd hoped for better. This is a nice hotel and I would hope to go back. The minor improvements would make the stay just that little bit more memorable.

Beautiful hotel. Grounds are breathtaking. Room was beautiful. But just very warm. The at 5am, a truck with bins (im guessing launderette) parked outside my window for 45mins, the noise was tormenting, bins being rolled in and out. Breakfast was ok. Good choice.

We arrived at 2:30 for 3pm checkin and our room was not ready til 4:40pm. Multiple trips and queuing at reception to enquire if the room was ready. The heat in the hotel was unbearable in public areas even with windows open. The amount of flowers stinking the place out suggested to me that it’s trying to hide another smell. 3 times I asked different members of staff for milk for my coffee at breakfast, By time it came everything was cold. Dinner menu in both restaurants were quite limited, my wife got a steak sandwich which was cold but my burger was piping hot. Limited availability for spa and thermal suite. We asked for tv channel in lounge to be changed to be told someone was watching football- it was a game from 1990 being reviewed and no highlights were upcoming?? Finally I had notified hotel that it was my wife birthday and they acknowledged saying they will leave something in room- still waiting on that, it wasn’t even mentioned at checkin

Totally over rated hotel for the price we payed. The layout to arrive to the room makes no sense and it’s complicated to get to your room. The pool does not belong to the hotel so there is external people going in all the time so it doesn’t feel private or cozy and it is overcrowded. The locker room is shabby with broken lockers. The room is big but nothing special. No wow factor, which for the price was expected. Having to book a tal le at the restaurant you are staying is a big no! When asked for room service instead they took 1 hour and forgot all the amenities to eat.

Lovely hotel, old style mostly with modern touches. In need of a little restoration in places with plaster/paint chipping but adds somewhat to the character. Unfortunately left waiting for food in the bar too long after ordering due to a mistake with order not being put through to kitchen. I won’t be put off though, food was lovely in the end and I’ll be back.
