魯汶經濟公寓(Budget Flats Leuven)

The site manager was friendly and helpful. That's where the whole experience stops. The place is made of cardboard, which means that one is delighted from early morning to very late at night by boisterous (mostly Eastern European) accents, despite written warnings in the welcome leaflet that "management" will interfere - which it didn't. You will not get a full hour's sleep, it is cramped, chilly ("we're helping the environment") and - contrary to the ads - quite a stiff walk from anything even remotely resembling the city centre. If there is nothing else available in the city, take a train elsewhere.

For a basic place to stay this was a really good option. The kitchenette was a real surprise

Be Housing requires you to guarantee your reservation with them with pre-payment. Needless to say, my credit card rejected the transaction as the bank detected security issues in the reservation system. I received a message stating that "Your Reservation Is Not Guaranteed". Did they provide an opportunity to cancel? No!! Did they contact me to tell me I still have the room? No! OK, fine. so I proceeded to make reservation at a more reputable place so we did stay somewhere else. Guess what? Be-Housing contacted me at the end of the intended period of stay, stating that I owe them the entire fee for renting rooms! A few emails back and forth with the admin proved to be of no use! Just want to warn the prospective tourists to look elsewhere for a more reliable place

Niet super schoon, niet super functioneel. Gewoon een simpele flat met de basics. Meer heb je niet echt nodig voor een avond uit in Leuven. Een vuur dat deftig werkt zonder dat de zekering springt zou wel een plus punt zijn.

NOOIT BOEKEN! NEVER EVER GO THERE! Agressief personeel, valse facturen met verzoek bijbetalen, hacking van wifi en bankgegevens. Hotelkamer met defecte electra, zeer gehorig, geen vergunning. 1 ster is teveel. Agressive staf wanting extra money repeating, electricity not working, renting rooms without license, hacking wifi, passwords, bankaccounts. To far from the city.
