Nice outdoor pool. Very short hours for amenities, shortest I’ve even seen, pools close 8, gym 5. Some amenities are only 3-5 hours like zip line & boats. The property is extremely outdated. It looks like it hasn’t been renovated in 50 years. The dinner food was very overcooked and now worth the $55pp (it’s included for all inclusive guests). The cafe on the 1st floor was great and the ladies working there / the Starbucks were great. Bowling alley was also extremely old & outdated. Only thing that was lovely was the outdoor pool, loungers and jacuzzi. We didn’t even get to see the indoor pool as it was closed each time we went, they are short staffed so all the guards were outside. The fish in the pond were lovely, with a nice playground. Zip lining was also fun but very low - geared towards little kids.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite got to the property around 3 pm they won’t give us the room until 4pm because we booked from ******* went back at 3:55pm they said 4pm not even 5 mins before the staff was very rude had no knowledge of anything within or around the property they were not busy but just kept talking with each other rather than helping the customers worst checking in experience especially when your traveling with 2 kids would not recommend staying here horrible staff horrible property.

The front desk is very rude they have no knowledge of anything within or around the property won’t give you room until 4pm not even at 3:59pm. They were not even busy they just keep talking to each other rather they helping customers. The bartender at the second floor has more knowledge then the the front desk lobby staff. Rather stay at a near hotel then staying here

Had terrible experience with check in and check out. Hotel receptionists couldn’t see that I made payment through ******* and I was asked to pay AGAIN for my stay. They been very unpleasant and not accommodating except one rep. Who finally figured it out. However I had to deal with the same issue during the check out . My stay was totally ruined. I use ******* all the time and never had such terrible experience with any hotel.

The time of year we choose was off season and there weren't many people there, but they put us in a room very far away from the main lobby. The hallway is not flat, it literally is like a rolling hill and we were at the very end of it. We could not park anywhere near our room and had to walk very far with our luggage. If there were any bellhops, they were not offered to us. The restaurant staff was very friendly, but the check-in staff was not. They did not offer any info about their facility and if we didn't ask questions, they did not volunteer info. We are glad we went there because we heard about this place for years, but we would not go back.

The property is being sold. Hopefully, the new owners update the rooms and common areas. Right now, it doesn’t look like anyone wants to invest in any up keeping. The activities and pool area are great and will keep your family entertained all day. My kids love it there because it is safe and they have the freedom to move around the property independently.

Stayed one night for a visit to Bethel Woods and I knew the Villa Roma was older (I had been there 20 years ago) and not renovated but there is not much choice in the area. What I wasn’t prepared for though was the lack of cleanliness. Hallways, and common areas were dirty and when we got to our room found dirty towels in the closet (no one came to get them for 6 hours after I notified the front desk twice). Also found a large candy wrapper under the bed, tortilla chips in the chair etc. The only staff member who was helpful and friendly was someone who voluntarily helped us get the fire pit lit . Grounds and area surrounding the hotel are pretty and we found a good place for dinner close by inJeffersonville, Tavern on main, and the Callicoon cafe for breakfast. Would be afraid to eat at Villa Roma

I would not recommend this property if you are looking for something new, fresh, updated. This place has not been renovated since the 80s. First off, the front desk staff is incredibly rude. We were given no information at check in. Each question we asked, we were told that they “didn’t know the answer to that” which is extremely odd considering they work there. The rooms, were big and clean, however dated beyond belief. We had a 2 bedroom suite and had to call maintenance to fix the bathroom sink and 2 of the 3 TVs. The TVs were never fixed for our entire stay. The absolute worst part about the stay was the SMELL. There was some kind of leak or something going on in the Futura hallway where we stayed. It was quite disgusting. Ofcourse we complained about It yet the front desk “had no idea what it was.” On a positive note: The food at the cafe is decent. We did not eat in the dining room. The food in the town of Calicoon (off campus) was excellent. I will say, my 4 year old son did love all the amenities. The 3 pools with the water slides, the playground and the arcade were good, except for the fact that half the arcade games were broken and we lost our coins on many games. The lifeguard staff was wonderful. Very nice and very alert. Again, if you are looking for an expensive getaway that’s stuck in 1982 this is your place. Don’t expect any glitz and glam.

The show by Jane Curry was absolutely wonderful! It was the best show we have seen in any resort. The use of the pools and of the bouncy houses is convenient. The dinner and breakfast, which are available for an extra fee, are good, but not great. The room needs to be renovated since the shower leaks and the water doesn't drain in the sink.
