After the long journey from Uk, via J'burg, we were pleased to arrive at this hotel. Convenient to the airport, it has imaginatively designed rooms. Ours was across 2 floors, close to the swimming pool which was a lovely 'wake up!'. The dinner was very tasty, and the wine list comprehensive. The menu was a mix of pizza, euro and some more local specialities - we had the goat curry, which was excellent. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was a little strange. The menu was very extensive, but a number of dishes were not available, but we only discilovered this after the waitress took the order, went to the kitchen and came back 10 mins later...this happened 3 times, by which time we just wanted her to tell us whqt we could have!!! When it arrived is was good and flavoursome. We would stay again

I recently stayed at Latitude on two separate occasions, a few days apart. Both stays were disappointing. I have previously stayed in a junior suite room and found the layout and condition of the room to be unsafe. On this occasion I purposely booked a different room type, however on both occasions I was allocated a junior suite on arrival. I queried this but was told no other rooms were available, despite a different room type being booked. During my first stay there was heavy rain which caused water to come through the ceiling, directly above the bedside table where my phone was charging. I called reception and someone did arrive quickly however the solution was to leave a cup out overnight to catch the dripping water. Later that evening there was a loud bang and my room lost all power. The junior suite layout with a creaky mezzanine and open staircase felt even more precarious in the dark. I could see that there were other lights on around the hotel so called reception who advised they had someone working on the issue. I asked for a torch but they apparently did not have any (which was surprising). Eventually I was told that the issue would not be fixed until tomorrow, and so I was moved to another room, late at night and in my pyjamas, to sleep. In the morning I returned to my original room to pack up my things and check out. No apology or recognition of the inconvenience was made upon check-out. On the day of my second stay I arrived after the advertised check in time but was told my room was not yet ready. I was told it would be 30 mins and that someone would advise me when it was ready. I eventually followed up with reception myself to get the key. It would have been nice to have perhaps been offered a drink while I waited, and to have been informed when the room was ready, but this did not happen. The food is good but the hotel is otherwise really run down and I was generally disappointed with my stay, particularly given the room rates. On my second stay the pool was empty and the coffee machine was not working. I will find alternative accommodation for future stays.

The restaurant is absolutely incredible - both in terms of decor and food. Really outstanding. And good wine by the glass. But the accommodation really lacks in what business travellers need: no desks, no good plug points, very cramped bedrooms but huge empty and pretty pointless kitchen and lounge. Poor quality fittings. No roof over the balcony, so can't sit out there, and leaking roof over the downstairs outdoor section. But worse: treacherous staircase and see-through fittings that I'm astonished got past any building regulations. And I'd suggest that if the hotel pool is out of commission, then SAY SO on the booking website ... (I would have booked elsewhere had I known this...).

Stayed twice, Junior Suite and Other Side. Junior suite perfectly acceptable unless you do not like open stairs. Other side much more spacious with dedicated pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good choice and well presented. No complaints, would recommend.

It's truly a peaceful environment, I especially loved the wellness centre I had a smooth check-in, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. I've never slept on a more comfortable bed in any other hotel in Lilongwe, It's genuinely the Latitude experience!

Ein Paradies in Lilongwe! Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Service und ansprechendem Design. Es ist für lokale Verhältnisse sehr teuer aber dafür bekommt man auch einen exzellenten Service. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut nur leider sind einige Dinge nicht verfügbar. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und super sauber.

Latitude 13 was a nice location and hotel compared to majority of the hotels in Malawi. The service was great, staff is very friendly and accommodating. The was a leak in my bathroom though.

Very good hotel, with great bedrooms which makes you feel that you are not simply inside 4 walls when staying away from home. The surrounding garden and common spaces are great and very well taken care. Bed is comfortable, with mosquito net in case needed. The service is excellent ! The only less positive aspect is the fact that the curtains on the bedroom do not totally black out. Considering that in some periods of the year the sun rises very early and if you have any issues with some light when sleeping you may need to find other strategies such as eye-cover. Overall the hotel and the service are great !

We travelled for a work retreat to Lilongwe with my colleagues, with most of us travelling to Malawi for the first time and opted to stay at Latitude 13, Lilongwe since we'd previously stayed at Latitude 0, Kampala in 2022 and had a perfect experience. Latitude 13 did not disappoint. The meals in particular were consistently fresh, well-plated and very tasty. The food was the highlight of our entire stay! The rooms were quite spacious, and with decor that heavily represented the Malawian culture which was incredible to experience. The hotel is nice, cosy and with a warm ambience. The staff are dedicated and highly responsive led by the Marketing Manager and Head Chef who seamlessly managed the requests of my large travel group comprising of 13 adults. We spent majority of our stay in the boardrooms, in meetings. The lovely meeting room's layout and ambience certainly had our creative juices flowing, and it was the perfect venue to hold strategic, intense discussions that were softened by the beautiful room's decor. The only minor setback was that on the first night, there were extremely heavy rains which saw 2 rooms experience water leakage issues, and tiny insects creeping into these rooms. On reporting this to the front office, these issues were resolved early in the stay and my colleagues had a pleasant rest of their stay... Tip: If afraid of heights, avoid the long-stay two-storey apar**ents. Going up those flight of stairs is not for the faint-hearted. Instead, opt for a stay in the Garden Suites. You'll thank me later :) ... Overall great experience. Keep it up!
