Rm 5: We loved our bedroom-super comfy bed, peaceful and very clean. The staff were really friendly and we loved the hot choc at bedtime! We had a little tv too. Continental breakfast was included and they had dairy-free milk as standard. We were able to get a table easily but worth reserving the night before if you need a specific time. Our only ****** was that the bathroom was teeny tiny (though clean and plenty of hot water!) hence only 4 stars.

We are staying here now and not impressed. You may forvthe decoration and that is it. Bed not made properly each day which I expect. Came in today and coffee mugs not cleaned. Low on milk yesterday. This may sound petty but it's the basics. The choice of breakfast buffet isn't the best either. It's only a small jotel but the same staff can't even remember who uou are. Won't be staying here again.

Our stay at this hotel was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had in all our years of traveling in Europe. The self-described Marvellous room that we booked was advertised as “vibrant and spacious” and “reflecting the eccentric charm of Portobello.” Instead we were presented with a drab, green box. Compare the photo below to the ones on the hotel website. The towels were tired and some appeared soiled with brown spots. The desk in the corner of the room was so off-balance that I had to use the room service brochure under one of the legs to keep my jewelry from sliding off the surface. The staff was less than helpful. When I asked if the Portobello Market was open, the answer was “I think so, it should be.” But it was a Sunday in May and the market is not open on Sundays until June. It was also a Bank Holiday the next day so it was closed—information that a hotel in Notting Hill should know or offer to find out.

We had a very nice stay at this charming hotel until after we received an email claiming we had taken some conditioner from their bathroom without paying for it. Before this happened, I would have rated the hotel 4 out of 5 and looked forward to staying there again upon our return to London. We stayed in one of the bigger rooms on the ground floor with a view of the lovely garden in back. It was comfortable and quiet. Why 4 out of 5? The room was a good size, but the shower was small and there was not much room to put things down by the sink in the bathroom. The other negative was the dining room was small and did not have sufficient room for all of the guests to sit in for breakfast comfortably. I think there were only 4 tables for 20+ rooms. We ended up having room service instead, which was fine. Back to the big problem. You can imagine our surprise to receive an email claiming we had taken a bottle of conditioner from our room without paying for it. There was a sign letting guests know the bath products in use were available for purchase. My wife enjoyed using them but given we were flying back home to the US when we left the hotel, transporting a bottle of a liquid like this was going to be a hassle so we didn't get one. When we checked out we even went over what we might have been charged for from the room with the person at the front desk. Our room was expensive and it makes no sense to me that a guest paying this much would try to sneak away without paying for anything that was used/taken, especially something so inexpensive. To be accused of stealing something from our room after we had returned home is especially frustrating and upsetting. It's really a shame to have a nice stay ruined this way.

We booked an all inclusive vacation, which was an amazing choice. The food is good, there is a large selection of everything for everyone. The entertainment was amazing, every night there is a different show. During the day also a lot of activities by the pool. Great beach access. All local alcohol is included in the all inclusive booking. Really nice and helpful staff:

Really lovely quirky hotel very near Portobello Road - great for all the restaurants etc in the area. We had an attic room that was perfect for us - really quiet, cool (it was a very hot day) and discreet. Will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful Hotel and even better staff, very smooth and detailed check in, Naim’s customer service was unmatched, sent us to the right places to visit, gave us wonderful recommendations! The rooms were wonderful and the mattress was FAB. I’d recommend this hotel to everyone.

This is a brilliant boutique hotel. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are decorated in the period style, and the breakfast is perfect. Located on a quiet street, short walking to the Portobello Market Area.

This hotel is definitely not luxury as it claims. The decor is lovely and that is where it stops. The room was small and cluttered with an unusable sofa, our bedding was put on inside out, 1 tea bag was provided we had to ask for more and to be fair more came along with the usual hotel biscuits. not enough towels I can go on! It felt like they didn't expect the room to be used and hadn't finished getting it ready. The "turn down" that they offer was bad and not worth saying you offer, it was burnt cold hot chocolate that was not drinkable. Take your own water as what they left was cloudy tap water in a fancy bottle All in all do not waste your money as this is expensive for what you get or don't get!!!
