意外珍寶之屋(Serendipity House)

La chambre 4 au 2ème étage fait moins de 8 m² ; pas de penderie, pas de possibilité d'ouvrir une grande valise. Salle de bain minuscule : pas de lavabo mais un tout petit lave main. Rien pour poser sa trousse de toilette. C'est malhonnête d'appeler ça une chambre et de la louer à 120 euros sur ***********. Il faut se servir de ce grand placard pour agrandir la chambre qui la jouxte et qui deviendra alors une belle petite Suite.

Parkeringen som på nettet er fremstilt som tilgjengelig, består av offentlig gateparkering hvis du har flaks og finner det. Rommet var stort sett grei, men helhetsinntrykket blir svært dårlig når det stinker kloakk fra badet natt og dag. Fellesarealene og frokostområde er så trangt at man nesten ikke får snudd seg. Personalet var hyggelige og gjorde så godt de kunne. Hadde hotellet kostet halvparten så kunne det kanskje vært akseptabelt. Fortjener ikke over 1, maks 2 stjerner.

Tengo una reserva para agosto. Siempre las hago con cancelación gratuita, esta vez debo haber cometido un error. Unos días después he querido cancelarla porque desgraciadamente no podemos viajar. Un tema delicado personal. Hemos solicitado la cancelación y , oh , no respuesta. Todo automático, que rechazan nuestra solicitud. Ni un mail ni nada. He he ho una reseña mala en Google, y al minuto me han cargado la habitación y me han contestado que por haber hecho la reseña mala, ahí lo llevo. Alucinante. Un servicio de atención al aacliente estupendo. Ahí sí me han contestado enseguida. Yo supongo que con problemas no responden. Muy decepcionada. La culpa por mía por no fijarme que no había cancelación

Muy justito. Los colchones horribles. La recepción casi nula. El desayuno muy justo también. Si quieres algo más hay que pagarlo.

We arrived as a family to a lovely warm welcome from Caroline, she showed us to our room (room 2) We only booked for 1 night but wish we stayed another. The family room for my husband, me and 2 teenage boys was spacious enough for a couple days and not much luggage. The room and bathroom was spotless. The TV didn't work, we weren't too bothered as we were only there for 1 night, we didnt report it either (we forgot). After a wee chill in the room we explored the city which is very hilly so the B&B wouldn't be suitable for those with mobility issues. Everything we needed was close by. And we all had a comfortable night sleep. The continental breakfast was plentiful and had a range of warm pastries, cereal, fresh fruit and toast. A bit disappointed a cooked breakfast wasn't on offer even at an extra cost. The rooms were reasonably priced meaning an extra cost for a cooked breakfast would be perfectly acceptable. We would definitely stay again. And plan on it soon.

Room was cute but we didn’t have any hot water at night or in the morning. We messaged the number in the morning but never heard anything back by the time we left. The water was absolutely freezing so I wasn’t able to take a shower. I booked the room last minute and never received late check in information because we would be there after 8pm when no one was supposed to be on site.

I can’t comment on the B&B but had planned to meet 8 friends there for breakfast which they were heavily advertising on social media. Very disappointed as I called on Friday to check if you were open for breakfast for 8 people on Saturday. I was told no problem and we could just walk in. Arrived Saturday to find it closed. No sign explaining why. Landline phone ringing off either no answer and mobile being cut off each time we called. Checked Facebook - no posts re closure. Eventually someone came from across the street and said it was closed as 1 of the cookers broke - very unconvincing! Called the day before as opening hours have been erratic. That’s 8 people who won’t be back and not giving good reviews.

We stayed at Serendipity house for 4 nights due to a family bereavement. It was very convenient for us and was very centrally located in the town. Stephen was most welcoming and did his best for us. The room was spotless and the ladies who serviced the rooms could not have been more obliging. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nicely positioned within walking distance of the vast majority of tourist attraction. It is just above the main Glenside area in a very quiet location. The staff and family running the hotel are very nice and helpful. Would recommend a visit
