Nice motel, it’s a Great value for monnaie.

The Jolly Roger is a nice place. What does 'nice' mean? 1. Clean 2. Amenities--coffee machine, little refrigerator 2. Spacious room for two queen beds--lots of space! Inmprovements could be: 1. Have separate end tables for each bed. 2. Have better placed outlets for charging accessories. 3. Have separate lighting for each person at the bed. Highlights: 1. VERY spacious two-queen bed room. 2. The beds were well decorated and COMFORTABLE. OVERALL: Slept very well, the staff was pleasant and efficient. I've never had a bad stay here!

Jolly Roger never dissapoints. If you want clean, basic rooms, this the place. The staff is professional but not stuffy in any way. The rooms are not "modern" looking, but they arre VERY clean and the BED is quite comfy. Shower gets hot FAST. Excellent stay, always!

Over the past 20 years or so, I have stayed at this hotel 4 time prior to this visit. This has been my worst stay thus far. I believe new manager possibly owner is evident. Staff was very pleasurable when checking in however, when I saw what a wreck my room was, their tune changed. They would not honor my request for a room change. There is now only a single microwave in the hotel (is this 1975 or what). There ad still lists microwave in rooms. Congenital breakfast---gone. The heating or air conditioning unit in room has no controls or on switch. During my 5 day stay I used up nearly 2 cans of air freshener. The room was small and poorly designed, not even a full size window. And I never noticed excessive street noise in all my prior stays. The musk and mildew upon entry was stifling. For a hotel that claims to be smoke free, I was smoked out the first two days. The hotel is best suited for conversion to homeless living units, perhaps that what the owners are banking $$$ on.

I picked this hotel because it was rated 3 stars, is near Venice Beach, where we planned a short family vacation, and was much more affordable than any other hotels in the vicinity, including free parking. It's a budget hotel in a good location. When I checked in, I asked for a quiet room, but was given a room right next to an external door that slammed shut every time someone came in or out (not quiet). The rooms are clean, but dingy. The staff are friendly. When I complained the next day that our room was NOT quiet and we were kept awake by the slamming door, the staff member gave us a better room, per my request. Worth staying if you are on a budget and want/need to stay near Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey.

Clean and spacious, great location for our needs. Very spartan and functional, not a place you want to spend extra time lounging in, but comfortable enough for sleeping . It's a little bit of an architectural maze. It could be quite beautiful with a renovation. Loved the free parking although it was quite full one night. The room and bathroom were both large and quiet.

Die Lage des Hotels ist großartig. Fußläufig zur Marina und zum Beach. Restaurants sind gleich vor Ort. Das Hotel ist in einer guten Wohngegend. Parkmöglichkeit vor der Tür. Die Zimmerausstattung ist ein wenig altbacken und es richt muffelig. Der Teppich müßte dringend ausgetauscht werden. Aber für den Preis und die Umgebung super. Das Personal ist sehr nett.

Unexpected look upfront,, I imagine this hotel was great back in its day but today it looks tired and out dated. Staff was great and friendly for check in and my room was clean..my bed was very used. Parking is limited and hardly any. I will not use this sleep locale in the future
