The Aster（阿斯特）

I like to the location of the property and the rooftop restaurant , but the property needs work. The hotel room had many issues the. Patio door was very difficult to open. It was stuck in the shower. Drain was clogged. The heater did not work well at all the front door and moves back-and-forth especially when other people close the doors the doors move in the middle of the night. Room service got our order wrong both times.

Convenient and relatively safe hotel in the Hollywood area. The Aster is centrally located in the tourist area of Hollywood. When you step outside, you can see stars from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The area outside is a bit grungy, but has a lot of foot traffic, so feels relatively safe during the daytime and is next to many food options. The hotel itself is well-appointed, with a lovely lobby, rooftop, and pool area. The rooms are a generous size, especially compared to similarly priced hotels in the area, and the beds and showers are quite comfortable. Despite being in a central part of LA, the rooms were very quiet over the weekend and it was easy to get a good night's sleep. I subtracted a star for getting a room with a broken faucet (to their credit, maintenance came up and resolved the problem very quickly) and the staff not being very welcoming.

I enjoyed my stay at the Aster. Great location, friendly staff. Yummy room service! Great bar vibe and bar staff :) My only complaint is that my particular room was directly underneath the restaurant, and I could hear constant dragging of chairs across the floor which made it difficult to sleep. The noise outside was also quite loud, but I suppose that’s why ear plugs are provided. It’s not a deterrent though, I plan to stay again in the coming month in my next trip.

Will return! We got the "small" room and it ended up being insanely big which was a great thing. Gorgeous decor. The cafe served delicious food (get the smash burger and wrap). Two different bars. Great location. Only weird thing is the smell of the carpets outside of the elevators. They smell old. Other than that everything was great!

This place is excellent! From the wonderful and interactive staff to the well appointed and very, very clean property and rooms/suites. We booked a suite and it was nothing short of beautiful. Better than pictures. This property feels like a business but more like a high end home/boutique. Highly, highly recommend!

My husband and I absolutely loved it!!!!! Very accommodating for walkable access to shops and Hollywood. Great service and wonderful hospitality. The rooftop bar the lemon grove was amazing. Great views. Great service. We can’t wait to stay here again when we come to La. Felt like a rockstar at this location.

Hotel is very nice, and rooms are very spacious. The dining is the only black mark, as choices are VERY limited, and room service kept forgetting things. First they forgot to bring the coffee we asked for, and another order, they forgot the silver wear. Had to consistently call for coffee refill in the room, and insufficient condiments. Staff Very friendly and helpful. Valet very friendly, and VERY expensive.

Had a great stay at the Aster. :) felt like a little getaway It is a cute spot and wasn’t busy at all, borderline ghosts town. Felt like we were the only people there. The Rooftop Bar was great. The rooms were very clean and spacious! We did get put in room 410 and it was really loud all day and into the evening, sounded like furniture being dragged around the floor above us. The front desk was very great about helping us get to a quieter room! Thanks to Moisés.

Got into my room and the toilet seat was broken. The room felt half cleaned. No tip sheet on the bed. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 12:30 am startled me. They came back a second time delivering toothpaste for another guest. The upper floor was super load. Ear plugs are provided. Destination fee on top of all taxes and room stay charges was Pennie’s short of 80 dollars. Parking is a whopping $ 55 a night. Pretty Cool spot but not quite as cool as they think they are.
