Great Hotel, but if you're coming solo enter through the back, it was hard to find from the street if you don't speak German! Great staff! And make sure you learn some Deustche

The hotel staff was not welcoming or helpful. Even rude. The hotel is not air conditioned and it was like a sauna in there. We asked for an additional fan as we were unable to sleep . The reply was its a Swiss weather and we don’t have any additional fan to give you. No toiletries in the bathroom. Nothing you asked could you provided. The phone in the room did not work. During checkout they wanted us to leave at sharp 11:00 and we did not get our room during checkin until Late evening. The only thing good about the hotel is the location and the restaurant by the water. I would not recommend the place.

We loved our stay at Des Alpes Luzern! The hotel was in a great location right on the river with a view of the covered bridge from our balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved that we were given vouchers to use at the hotels restaurant where we really enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings. The only thing I wish they had was air conditioning but thankfully it wasn't too warm the two days we stayed there and were able to open the windows at night and still sleep well. I would highly recommend staying here!

Very well maintained and clean. Loved our room with a balcony overlooking the chapel bridge! The front desk staff was very helpful and made dinner reservations for us. Our tour guide met us at Des Alpes and she was wonderful too! Highly recommend her cristina.fernandez.arribas at gmail dot com. Tell her Mike and Kelly said hello and we hope she enjoyed her trip to Italy! :) We're really looking forward to coming back to Lucerne because we barely scratched the surface. We will gladly stay at Des Alpes Luzern again!

Great location with beautiful water views. We enjoyed the balcony for views and fresh air, and enjoying wine in the evening. Everything is walk-able and nearby, including a quick 5 minute walk to train station. We were surprised to learn there was no AC, as that was not disclosed to us before arriving. Unfortunately there was a heat wave while we stayed, with temps 88F/31C, which made it feel like 100 in the room. It was very uncomfortable getting ready and nearly impossible to sleep. Thank God we had a room with a balcony so we could leave the door open at night to help cool it down. But it would have been nice to know of this when booking. For this reason, be careful staying here in the warmer summer months.

Just a warning - this hotel has no AC. When it’s in the 80s and the hotel staff tells you not to leave your windows open because of bugs, this is a problem. A small fan did little to help. Screens might at least allow windows to be opened.

루체른의 대표적인 볼거리인 카펠교와 붙어있는, 가장 가까운 호텔입니다. 루체른역에서 케리어끌고 걸어서 왔습니다. 방과 화장실은 청결하고, 생각보다 넓어서 좋았습니다. 방음창으로 설치되어 외부의 소음이 거의 들리지 않습니다. 강력 추천합니다.

We had stayed here before and loved it but it was so hot in our room. Would have been a better stay if it would have been air conditioned. Everything else was lovely. Especially the staff and food.
