富維耶飯店(Fourviere Hotel)

This hotel blew us away - such a unique building, with a perfect vantage point for viewing the city from above, and walking distance to so many must-see sites including the Basilica and the Lugdunum site / museum. The dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was one of the best we've ever had, and the service was excellent. Would stay here again any day!

I stayed at Fourvière Hôtel for one night and I was very impressed by the hotel’s unique design, location, and service. The hotel is a former convent that has been renovated with modern amenities and artistic touches. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with views of the city or the garden. The hotel is situated on a hill above the old town of Lyon, near the Roman amphitheaters and the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere. It is a short walk or funicular ride to the city center, where you can explore the historical and cultural attractions of Lyon. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive to the guests’ needs. I would highly recommend Fourvière Hôtel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Lyon. It is a perfect blend of history, art, and comfort that will make you feel like you are part of Lyon’s story.

When we selected this hotel for our break in Lyon, we did not expect to have picked probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The building itself has been refurbished very sympathetically and the cloisters forming the courtyard dining area were exceptional. The gardens and pool were ideal after a hard days sightseeing. The room was lovely, light and airy with high ceilings and a separate shower and toilet. All this within a 10 min walk of the funicular and 2 mins from the Roman ruins. All in all, we would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone. Thank you for making our trip to Lyon so special.

Lovely place, amazing entrance hall, rooms perfectly arranged, with minimal decor, for good reason given background of hotel. Aircon in rooms great. Couple of issues- pool was over hot, chairs round pool uncomfortable and deckchairs horrendous. And drinks service at bar one evening was very slow.

Nice hotel. Good location, out of town up the hill but not too far to walk to the funiculars. Didn't eat there at all, €24 each for breakfast seemed ridiculous but there are many other options in the city. Pool and jacuzzi were decent, hammam was out of action. Bed was strangely short, we're not tall but feet were over the end. Shower was good, though often had to wait minutes for hot water. I'd still stay there again if back in Lyon.
