It's great place

The property gives an impression that you can see the ocean from their property. You can't. You're very close to the beach but you can't see it. My TV didn't work. My room phone didn't work. My room smelled like a heavy dose of bleach. My view was the stairs. My curtains didn't work so people could look directly in my room. The waffle iron didn't work and burned my waffle. They started doing construction on the property at 7am so I couldn't sleep. It was incredibly loud. I let both the night manager and the day manager know my problems. They said they would refund half of my money. Due to me booking with ******* they said I would have to go through ******* for my refund. They said they would honor it, then they didn't. I would never stay at this place ever again. It's not a hotel, it's a motel. It's a motel that needs a lot of work.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the lady at reception couldn't find my booking for 1 King room on a high floor with a view. She said that I had been allocated a Queen room but there was no sea views from the hotel. Then she said that I had to pay $100 deposit to get access to my room, i was shocked when I heard this ! I just come from LAX from a long haul flight from London Heathrow, i paid the deposit and had to wait for the manager to arrive to amend the booking for 20 minutes. He did correct the booking but when I fininaly got in the room, the TV had no cable signal and the telephone didn't work. On top of the that I heard banging doors and loud movement in the room above me. Would definitely not recommend this hotel, I've now asked for a full refund.

Während unseres Aufenthalts im Hotel fiel uns auf, dass die Einrichtungen und das Dekor etwas veraltet wirkten. Es war jedoch erfreulich zu sehen, dass Renovierungsarbeiten in einigen Zimmern im Gange waren, was darauf hindeutet, dass das Hotel bestrebt ist, sich zu verbessern. Trotz des ersten Eindrucks waren wir von der Größe unseres Zimmers sehr angetan – es bot genügend Platz und Komfort, was für uns viele andere Aspekte wet**achte.Die Lage des Hotels war wirklich perfekt und trug maßgeblich zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt bei. Allerdings war das Frühstücksangebot für uns eine Enttäuschung. Angesichts der Größe des Hotels waren die Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Frühstücken sehr begrenzt und das Speisenangebot sowie die Auffüllung sehr mau. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt zufriedenstellend, vor allem dank der geräumigen Zimmer und der hervorragenden Lage. Wir hoffen, dass das Hotel sein Frühstückskonzept überdenken wird, um das Erlebnis für zukünftige Gäste zu verbessern.

Excellent location, very convenient to the airport (12 minutes from hotel to terminal) quiet, seven or eight restaurants within two blocks (the Japanese restaurant across the street has a phenomenal one special for only $10!), The Indian restaurant next door has an excellent menu and an afternoon buffet. There were no table lamps in our room, which it caused a bit of inconvenience however that was due to the ongoing remodeling and will be remedied very soon. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable. Well worth the money! Breakfast bar leaves a bit to be desired offers pretty much standard fare (could use some hard-boiled eggs and yogurt!). ******* website says something about a sauna, spa and golf course. There is no doubt, or golf course and I could not find the sauna however given the fact that this is not a resort hotel and we just needed a place to rest while visiting LA, it fit the bill perfectly. As of other reviews complaining about water pressure but did not experience any water pressure problems. Likewise with any evidence of mold or rust stains. The heating and cooling system was MUCH quieter than most hotels of this nature, which was most welcome! TV was excellent. Overall, my wife and I can highly recommend this place for a short stay. The hotel was good for the price and the free breakfast was adequate. It would be nice if boiled eggs were offered for protein. Also you can not get a wheelchair into the breakfast room so plan on bringing food back to your room. My big complaint is when we arrived and all unpacked when we went to use the restroom and found it was used and know this because it needed to be flushed. When I let the front desk know he said he would send someone in the am. Gross! He should have offered to exchange rooms or clean it himself. Also there were no hooks to hang anything. I think they are in the middle of remodels and there were a few hangers. So maybe a few extra hangers.

Convenient location for our stay. Breakfast was a continental breakfast and due to the juice machine(s) being inoperative they had juice/ milk in a refrigerator which was fine. Bed was fine and the shower for our room had a small "step up" so if you have physical limitations just check to ensure you can step up into shower. Other than that a nice, quiet place to rest.
