凱倫布里露營飯店(Karen Blixen Camp)

Het kamp ligt mooi gelegen aan de rivier waar een grote groep nijlpaarden continu zwemt, speelt, chillt en graast. De krokodillen komen aan land, bavianen lopen er rond. Kortom er is altijd wat te zien en te bekijken. Het kamp zelf is absoluut keurig. Mooie tent, met lekker bed, mooi gelegen en heerlijk rustig. Het eten was echt goed en de service geweldig. Job heeft ons enorm in de watten gelegd en de verjaardag van mijn vriend perfect geregeld, inclusief verjaardagstaart. De gids tijdens de safaris, zorgde voor de goede plekken bij de dieren, maar maakte zich er wat makkelijk vanaf. Dat werd helemaal duidelijk tijdens de laatste dag toen we een andere chauffeur kregen, die vol enthousiasme en passie over zelfs de kleinste dieren vertelde. Top! Een kleine kanttekening, in andere Afrikaanse landen zoals zuid Afrika en Botswana is het niveau van safari’s en de kampen echt hoger dan in Kenia.

This camp takes deposits and does not honor the contracted booking. This camp has taken many deposits for 2025 booking based on Full Board. This camp no longer honors full board bookings, yet they are still taking the bookings and the deposits. They have kept all deposits after canceling the full board bookings. BUYER BE WARE!!!!! There are many camps to choose from, not only in Kenya, but even better in South Africa or Botswana. Put your deposit down with this camp and chances are very high you will lose all your money because they will send you a bill for 3 times the amount. The camp may look beautiful in images, but is crowded and overbooked. It is a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Un endroit au bord de. La rivière magnifique! La Terrasse avec le feu le soir est très agréable même si le lounge ou l’on mange est un peu sombre. Les tentes sont. Luxueuses. Avec vue sur la rivière et de belles terrasses confortables pour faire. La sieste au bord de. La rivière. Piscine agréable, lodge kids friendly avec menus adaptés. Notre guide. Jonathan était exceptionnel. Le 1er. Janvier nous avons vu les big 5 dans la même journée et. Un léopard en plus!

Must admit, 5 stars does not cover this truly fantastic experience. The camp itself has all that’s needed, but as we learned, that’s wasn’t where time was spend 6 amazing safari tours, including (in different trips; sundowner, breakfast, lunch and dinner) great food, wine and service on a table with white cloth out in the bushes with a bonfire by our side. A great staff (all of them!) facilitated our stay, David in person ensured our wellbeing with excellent service, and our safari trips were conducted with Esther (hope for a the best possible graduation) and last but definitely not least our personal highlight of the trip, our Ranger Dennis with so much enthusiasm, knowledge, good humor, engagement and pride of the Karen Blixen Camp, enriching the tour with insights on all what’s relevant about the animals and land, spicing with personal storytelling that just made this a even more memorable experience. We are grateful of having this in our memories (on top of hundreds of pictures to support), and can strongly recommend!

The time we spent at Karen Blixen was beyond wonderful! Our guide, Empapa, was so intent on finding all the animal encounters that we could name and more. Our son is a vet who has a lot of zoo experience and when he asked about aardvarks - Empapa said that they are so hard to find as they are nocturnal & live in burrows, but on our last night there, he found one, in the dark! When we said one in our party loved birds, he tried to find as many interesting birds and get as close as he could. He also found a white tailed mongoose, a pride of 16 lions fighting over a kill, leopards ( in the dark), a cheetah with her babies, along with the elephants, cape buffalo, etc. etc. . The bush breakfast was beyond our expectations - where else can you be served a hot breakfast with lovely linens and a Maasai blanket around your shoulders, while looking at Mt. Kenya? Lillian and her staff were gracious and kind and informative. We loved the behind the scenes tour as it reenforced all that Blixen does for their community and conservation. David our server was patient when we were exhausted and his service was beyond compare. What could be better than breakfast with a pod of hippos and giraffes and buffalo coming to the river to drink? Our massages were over the top and my future daughter in law had the best pedicure she's ever had. Waking up to zebra and dik diks outside our tent was magical - not to mention sharing the poolside with the zebras one afternoon. Everyone there from the rangers to the bartenders, the young people who kept our tent, made us feel like they were interested in making our experience exactly what we wanted - they couldn't have been more accommodating. The bonus was we met wonderful people from all over the world! A great place to experience Kenya...

We visited Karen Blixen Camp to coincide with the Great Migration. This was our first visit to Africa but our travelling companions fifth, and their third stay at Karen Blixen Camp. Karen Blixen was the third safari lodge of a 2 month African trip and was definitely the standout. Solomon and all his staff were exceptional with special mention of Lorna our guide and David our waiter. The glamping tent accommodation is ideal and the endless supply of high quality food and drinks is delicious and waist expanding! Lorna’s skill in locating the animals that we wanted to see each day was exceptional, culminating in a Wilderbeest / Zebra river crossing with a large croc grabbing an easy Zebra lunch. Compared to other safari’s we experienced in South Africa (which we also enjoyed), Karen Blixen Camp and The Mara is our definite favourite…we will return!

Amazing! Lillian the manager and Simon our guide were outstanding as was the rest of the staff of this lovely camp on the Mara River. Our stay here was the highlight of our 15 day tour. And the food was so good and our tent was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to highly recommend the Karen Blixen Camp to all that travel to the Maasai Mara.

The camp is just amazing, the dining lodge in front of the river, likewise all the tents, allow you to watch all sort of animals coming to drink during the day and the night as well. The place organizes games inside the conservancy and in the Masai Mara national park are well. Both options highly recommended

Ce lodge récent offre une expérience de grande qualité à qui souhaite allier sobriété, luxe et nature. Les hébergements sont mémorables avec une vue magnifique. La restauration est de grande qualité bien que située au milieu de nulle part!! Le personnel est aux petits soins sans être obséquieux. Nous avons séjourné avec nos deux pré-adolescents qui ont adoré. Bref, une destination en soi, d’autant plus que la conservancy permet d’aller observer la riche faune de la savane avec les guides.
