馬布爾黑德飯店(The Hotel Marblehead)

The hotel rooms are in various states of disrepair - e.g. holes where the toilet paper dispenser previously fell out and is currently dangling from another anchor nearby; water bubbles in the paint, etc. The moniker of breakfast in "bed and breakfast" is questionable as the breakfast is skimpy. Overall, the hotel is overpriced and the staff do not put the customer first

Really sweet place, close to Salem and parks. The only thing faulty was our fridge was a freezer and everything we put in froze. Lovely bathroom with full tub and jets!

Klimaanlage sehr laut. Im Moment (Juni/Juli 2022) befindet sich gegenüber eine grosse Baustelle.

A beautifully historic building with modern, updated features and style. The Hotel is complete with a quaint lobby and manicured English garden to spend time in as you please. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler looking for a quality stay while being surrounded by historical beauty.

Let's start with the positive: great staff, friendly and helpful. Do be aware that the "hotel" has no one on site after 8 pm. The bed was fine, the bathroom adequate, the internet only fair. We came to the seaside to enjoy the sea air: too bad, because the one window had an air conditioner and could not be opened. Like most window ac units, it was very loud. Nice evening, perhaps 65 F [17 C], and we have to run the ac to keep from roasting: the room got up to 80 F [27 C] as soon as the ac was off. [My travel alarm has a temperature indicator, so I am not guessing.] The location is convenient to old Marblehead, which has many charming 18th-century houses. You can walk to restaurants, as well as to the old part of Marblehead. It's quiet, except for 7 to 8 am, when people coming to work are using Pleasant St, so there is a lot of traffic noise for about 30 to 45 minutes. If you have the ac turned on, it will drown it out. If you do not care about having a sealed room, with mandatory ac, despite being in a Victorian building, then it's a good choice: clean, basic room and very nice people. If you like fresh air and escaping from a home location in which ac is a basic part of summer life, you need to find another location.

The Hotel Marblehead will be my go-to. The service is friendly and helpful, the bed and pillows extremely comfortable, and the water pressure(my personal Achilles heel) was perfect!

Wonderfully clean and convenient, very friendly staff. Two things could improve, the pillows and the water pressure in the shower. Neither is a dealbreaker, but I think the property would be perfect if both were improved upon.

Although obvious attempts have been made to update this property, it remains an old Victorian with some issues. Water running above our room was very loud. The tub in our bath was an old jetted model that had seen better days. There should be grab bars for entering and exiting the tub. The room was bare-bones. Utilitarian for sure, but no attempt at luxury. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with fresh fruit and homemade blueberry bread. The young man at the desk in the morning was not friendly at all. He was rather sullen, but did perk up a bit when we left. We are former Marblehead residents and this was our first hotel stay in the town. We would probably try somewhere else next time, but if this was all that was available, it would do.

Location was perfect to visit family in Marblehead the place is really beautiful the room was fine we know its old it might need a wee bit updating I would get rid of those huge spa tubs and get a bigger sink area personally I would never use one. Like a bigger sink the bed was comfortable the lights in the bathroom were tricky we had to ask how to turn them on the room was cool and very quiet which we love we hate a noisy room where you can hear it all. I feel like they could really do something awesome in the huge backyard like a fire pit a hot tub more sitting areas boce! Lots of fun stuff also the staff and breakfast were very nice
