This is a lovely place

This property was cute from the outside, but the overall cleanliness of the place was horrible. We found hair and eyelashes in our sheets. They offered to change rooms , but the manager said absolutely not and kept us in the same one. Once they finished changing the sheets, we continued to look through the room. The drain to the shower had hair in it, the tub didn’t drain. We decided to just go without showering , since we left the following morning. The towel they gave us to put on the floor of the bathroom had hair on it as well. Seems as though their turn over for rooms is less than adequate for the amount of people they have. Overall the younger staff was quite friendly, the manager herself gave us the cold shoulder and shooed us out when we asked if there was a possibility for early check in, since we’ve never been to this hotel before in particular we always ask just because we had been driving throughout the night, went to the Yosemite, and came 45 min earlier than expected. I’ll not be coming back here, but hopefully if you do book with them you have a more pleasant experience than I did.

The room smells a lot as soon as entering. There are a lot of stains and dark spots on the carpet. We reluctantly stayed there with uncomfortablness, unhappiness, and regrets for booking such a horrible lodge.

Insgesamt eine gute und durchaus empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, allerdings gibt es ein paar Dinge zu beachten. Es ist durch die angrenzende Straße recht laut im Zimmer, die Restaurants in der Ortschaft schließen fast alle gegen 20 Uhr. Restaurants die länger geöffnet haben, sind durchaus lecker und haben große Portionen, sind aber hochpreisig. Für etwa 200€ pro Nacht ein guter Ausgangspunkt zu Besuchen im Yosemite, aber auch nicht preiswert.

Love the historic feel of this clean and quiet accommodation. Still handing out real door keys not cards. Rooms look updated and property is well maintained. Will def use Mariposa Lodge again!

I always stay in a room with a microwave and frig so I can have my tea in the morning. They also had 4 pillows, which I like, so I can put 3 behind my back and 1 for my laptop. It was a standard hotel room - not fancy, but pleasant enough. Cheaper than some of the other options and we only went there to do a wildflower hike in spring, so it served our purposes. The young lady at the desk was very helpful with recommendationsi on where to eat, etc.

A very good and affordable option in charming historic Mariposa, at proximity from Yosemite. The room was clean and very spacious. The staff was nice and helpful.
