波賽頓旅館(Poseidon Guest House)

Une des deux déceptions dans les hébergements de notre séjour de cinq semaines au Pérou. A proximité de l’aéroport, au bord de la route principale très fréquentée. Difficile à trouver pour les chauffeurs de tuk-tuk qui ne connaissent pas l’endroit. De l’extérieur, on hésite à entrer, car on passe d’abord par un genre d’entrepôt avant d’atteindre l’accueil. Propos anti français du propriétaire qui n’hésite pas à afficher sa détestation. Nous étions les seuls résidents ce soir là, on nous a cependant attribué une toute petite chambre (Pourtant réservée de longue date « Supérieure ») face à la réception, éclairée tard en soirée (Pas de rideaux occultants) Même si vous avez à prendre un avion tôt le matin, privilégiez une chambre en ville (15mn de Tuk Tuk en plus) Seul point positif, le propriétaire a finalement accepté de nous déposer à l’aéroport le matin (Moins de 5mn de route) Bon à savoir également, des frais de « Ménage » sont ajoutés au tarif initial de la chambre. Une étape à oublier dans ce beau pays.

Estuvimos allá después de una mala experiencia en un lodge en la selva. Desde el primer momento tanto Wilson como su mujer Liliana nos trataron estupendamente, siendo amables, honestos y muy respetuosos. Nos ayudaron a resolver un conflicto con el conductor de mototaxi justo a la llegada que nos pedía más dinero del acordado (dos mujeres españolas parecen un blanco fácil para pequeños timos, pero después de la experiencia en la selva estábamos hartas). Wilson salió y lo resolvió con mucha educación sin generar más problemas con el conductor y consiguiendo que pagásemos la cantidad acordada al inicio. Iquitos y sus alrededores puede ser un lugar difícil aunque muy interesante debido a las costumbres de sus gentes, las variaciones de temperatura, la humedad, la contaminación y el ritmo particular del lugar. En este alojamiento se encuentra un lugar confortable, MUY limpio, bien equipado y acogedor a un precio más que razonable. Además de eso, el matrimonio que lo regenta son excelentes personas, honestos y muy confiables. Cuando vuelva, sin ninguna duda, me alojaré en este lugar; y se lo recomiendo a todos aquellos que vayan a pasar por Iquitos. A pesar de no estar cerca de la plaza de armas, es muy sencillo y económico tomar un mototaxi; el lugar limpio, con piscina, un amplio patio y todas las comodidades compensa de largo para qued**** allí (y digo esto después de estar alojada en lugares más céntricos).

Great hidden gem close to the airport. We just needed a place to take a nice, hot shower and relax in some AC while waiting for our flight after a stay in the Amazon. The owner was fantastic and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

This little hotel is a treasure! I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Tucked away from the busy street noise, was this private oasis complete with several beautiful gardens to walk through and a gorgeous private pool! Everything was so private!!!! The rooms are air conditioned and adjustable to controls. The staff went out of its way to ensure your needs were met. The morning homestyle breakfast was perfect and delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

After two weeks in the jungle this charming little place was a warm welcome home before heading to the airport. Wilson and Liliana (on-site owners) have created a clean, comfortable and safe place for solo and group travelers alike. You can relax by the pool or head into town for food or excursions. The hospitality is unmatched and literally a minute ride to the airport.

Very nice owners who were kind and helpful. Nice spacious air conditiined room looking out to the beautiful back yard/pool area. Restaurant not far away. Breakfast included and very short ride to the airport. Recommended.

We stayed 3 friends at Poseidon Guest House for two night and can highly recommend!. It was the perfect place for us. The owner William did everything he could to make us feel comfortable and helped us with everything from airport pick-up and recommendations for activities. You quickly feel at home at this place and is it perfect to get an introduction to the jungle city.

Me and my 2 friends were stuck in Iquitos 3 days longer than planned, by chance we booked a room here and so glad we did! The owner is very kind and went out of his way to help us and make us the most comfortable we could be. The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. Would highly recommend this place. The pool was very fun and he even helped us crack open a coconut to eat:)
