Tryp by Wyndham Pittsburgh/Lawrenceville

The TRYP location was great for our purposes. The hotel was a bit spartan, the room ( with a king bed) was small. Everything we needed was there for an overnight-we might have been uncomfortable on a longer stay as there was no storage other than a small, completely open hanging area and a bit of open shelving. Maneuvering room around the bed, particularly away from the bathroom could have been precarious-go with a queen if you need room to walk around. Everyone at registration and valet parking were lovely.

Poor sound separation - could hear everything. But staff were friendly and helpful and location was great, walkable, with good dining options. The micro rooms are indeed micro. One thing to note: the bed frame for the queen bed had a metal piece sticking out on the side. I banged my shin on that.

My husband and I were shocked by the sheer size of our room! It was bigger than any hotel room we’ve ever had. It was clean, and the bed was comfy. The staff were extremely welcoming and kind. The only issues we had was the renovation the hotel was doing caused it to be noisy at times, and the heater was hit or miss. During the day, we had to turn it up to keep the room warm, but at night, it would get too hot. It was challenging to find a comfortable temperature, and I did have some difficulty sleeping for this reason. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a good area with plenty of places around to eat and shop. Overall, I would recommend this property.

The staff at this location has always been awesome (we have stayed here before). The music they play, the free cookies, all is great! The breakfast is hot and good and plentiful! Parking seemed secure and safe. There were a couple of minor issues that weren't too much a concern during our stay. We just mentioned them when we checked out and the staff was very gratious in apologizing and attending to the matters. Would definitely recommend staying here...we will again!

Oh My Gosh were those beds comfortable! Our first time at Comfort Suites in Granbury and it will be the only place we stay now. We go several times a year and have always stayed across the street at La Q and once on the other side of the lake at HI I believe but it's this place from here on. The place was immaculate, no more carpet but vinyl plank flooring in the rooms (and so new there wasn't a tissue holder in the bathroom yet, just a roll sitting on a shelf right next to the commode. But the beds, wow. Fluffy but with total support almost like a giant pillow of feathers but firmer. We did both need to "jump" up to get in bed and he's 6'4" and we giggled about that. They're a bit tall. Loved the place and staff was super friendly and sweet.

I was told the room had just been renovated. I guess the AC/heater unit was not part of that process. We turned it on and it rattled as if it had marbles in it. No way we were going to sleep with that on. No other rooms available and no maintenance person available. What the heck, we attempted to fix it ourselves. Pulled off the front and three large ice chunks fell out of it. Problem solved. You’re welcome, Choice Hotels. Down side, had to repeat the process a couple of times. The hotel was LOUD. Our room was on the first floor. We could hear everything the people in the next room were doing. Including cheering every sports team in existence and their kid singing George Michael’s Freedom over and over. Interesting choice, but no one bothered to teach him anything but that one word of the song. The laundry room was on the other side of us and that was loud too with the housekeeping staff banging on everything and the machines rattling. Came back for an afternoon nap after a night of getting up to fix the heat several times and all we heard was the staff slamming things around and debating if deaf people would be able to know that a fire alarm was going off. Put the deaf people in room 115. They’ll hear it. FREEDOM!

I absolutely loved the facility, I arrived hours before checki in, but, after breakfast and they offered me breakfast. Of course, I took it afterwards I asked if i could wait until check in in the lobby and the gentleman behind the desk checked on my room said it was ready and gave me the key. I MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Will always stay here!

When we arrived (in December) the room temperature was set at 67 degrees. It took 2 hours to warm up to 70. Our room was small with very high ceiling. The sink and mirror are in the bedroom. Shower and toilet in a room with a sliding barn door. Our room overlooked the very busy road and sidewalk. There was a lot of road noise (trucks bumping on the road and horns honking). You could hear people talking as they walked by. You’ll need earplugs if you want any sleep. The shower head hunging straight down from the 10’ ceiling. Unable to take a shower without wetting your hair. The floor of the shower is flat and slick. I slipped the first step into it.

Recently stayed there for five nights. Our room NEVER got cleaned, not even upon requesting. We ran out of sheets, towels, shampoo, our trash was overflowing and the room was never clean to start with (sticky floor, ********** in bathroom). Most of the staff doesn’t seem to care at all. Needless to say, we are not coming back there.
