卡瓦尼別墅(Villa le Calvane)

My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Villa le Calvane, and it was a memorable and delightful stay throughout. The setting is spectacular, perched on a hilltop overlooking the valley of vineyards and olive groves, the countryside rolling and stretching away to the distant mountains on the horizon. Our suite was large and extremely comfortable, the food superb especially breakfast and dinner on the terrace enjoying the fabulous views. There is a lovely infinity pool, plenty of loungers and sofas dotted around to relax in, and we both enjoyed an outstanding massage during our stay. All the staff are knowledgeable, speak excellent English and are incredibly helpful in recommending places to go, to eat and activities to enjoy. We had a wine tasting in the wine cellar with Mirko the incredibly knowledgeable restaurant manager who runs his own winery. We also enjoyed a truffle hunt around 30 minutes drive away which was a real highlight. The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore Tuscany, within an hour if Florence, Siena and the Chianti towns and villages. A car is essential to get around. We loved our stay and we’re genuinely sad to leave. The entire team contributed to making our stay truly special and memorable. We even had the owner come and sit with us on our last day and ask our feedback on our experience - which was a lovely touch. Thank you to Leonardo, Salvatore, Mirko, Mario and everyone else.

This is not a true 5-star hotel. The price we paid was extremely far beyond the actual standard and quality of the hotel as well as the service received. Our room had a broken toilet; it did not flush and would just continue running water endlessly. We were expected to deal with having a plumber in our bathroom for 4 hours who, by 11:45pm, still had not fixed the toilet. Our original room started to smell like sewage, we still had not been able to use the bathroom, and we were not able to go to sleep. It was only after hours of unhelpful exchanges that the night manager’s only attempt at offering a solution was moving us to a significantly smaller room that was downstairs and out in the garden. He also falsely repeated multiple times before that there were no other rooms available. We eventually had to pack up and move all of our suitcases at midnight. This room was nothing like the one we booked and zero compensation was provided. Standard customer service, let alone a “5-star hotel” should be going above and beyond to make up for such an inconvenient problem. We are talking about a hefty 750€ per night per room here, and they offered nothing. All they said was “Sorry, even with our regular maintenance these things can happen.” Ultimately, the rest of the stay was negatively impacted by this and we can only rightfully be upset that we spent an exorbitant amount of money on what was supposed to be a luxurious and relaxing stay which turned into nothing but unenjoyable.

The property is stunning. Best pool in Tuscany, with the best view. The staff are all amazing, willing to do anything they can to make sure each guest has the best stay. Breakfast is wonderful and dinner was great!

a total disaster. Junior suite is not what it is advertised on *******, its claustrophobic, no windows, No ventilation, no Ac, more of a hidden bunker in the basement. They will try to extract every penny out of you by falsifying bills. Make sure you double check your bill before you check out. It looks like this hotel in on a cash crunch at least that's the vide you get when you check in. Very mediocre overall. For 800US$ a night its totally worthless.

My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at the resort. Nestled within the picturesque countryside, we enjoyed both the cuisine and the highly skilled staff.

Estupendo fin de semana en una villa antigua en medio de cultivos de olivos y viñedos de donde producen su propio aceite y vino Es una villa Toscana antigua completamente renovada de lujo. Hicimos una cata de vino en la bodega donde tiene un túnel secreto que comunica con un castillo cercano. Tiene una piscina infinita con una vista increíble a la Toscana y está rodeada de la fragancia de lavanda y romero. La comida es exquisita y el personal muy amable te hacen sentir como en tu casa Se nota que cuidan cada detalle de la decoración, las flores y la atención El lugar perfecto para relaj**** y disfrutar de la vida

Unpersönlich und fremdgeführtes Haus mit unfreundlichem Personal. Viel zu teuer, mageres Frühstücksbuffet. Am ekelhaftesten ist die „Pooldusche“: reduziert auf eine Dusche für alle Poolgäste und der Duschkopf ist so stark verkalkt, dass nur ein haardünner Wasserstrahl rauskommt. Deshalb duscht sich niemand von den Gästen und alle gehen verschwitzt und eingeölt ins WasserIgitt! Familie W. Österreich

È stata una bellissima serata grazie ad una suggestiva location e l’eccellente qualità del cibo. Ma per essere un grande 5 stelle è necessaria la presenza di un personale all’altezza coordinato da un ottimo direttore come Massimiliano. Tutto questo fa la differenza altrimenti le stelle le vedrete solo in cielo. Alessia e Federico
