The peaceful hotel is located adjacent to the Chao Phraya river with less than 3 km apart from the central of Chainat city. There is a little corner at the lobby that sells some Chainat products such as wines, local sweets, handmade bags and sandals from water hyacinth. Our room was clean and included all facilities we needed in good condition. What I liked most was a magazine about Chainat province given in the room. We woke up freshly in the next morning due to "dawn chorus" from birds chirping and tweeting (does live up to its reputation as "the city of birds"). Then, we relaxed and enjoyed a nice view of the Chao Phraya river from our room. After the breakfast at the riverside restaurant, we had "Chao Phraya river cruise + temples tour + lunch" 4 hours boat trip (make an advance reservation directly through the hotel ; 8000 baht for chartering a boat + driver + guides + temples tour, not including lunch). The boat was big and full of facilities. We enjoyed watching picturesque rural landscape along the banks of the river before made 2 stops at Wat Thammamun and Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao. Meanwhile, our guides entertained us with interesting facts/attractions of Chainat (I read some of them from the magazine last night) and the legends about the Chao Phraya river and the two temples we were going to visit (not in the magazine). We had lunch on the return trip. Our dishes were deep-fried fish in two mixed sauce, local fish in red curry sauce with herbs, and Chainat pomelo salad with shrimp. Very delicious! Such a fantastic boat trip! What a slow life town! Truly recommend the hotel and their boat trip. 5 stars.
