卡裡布旅館(Qaribu Inn Boutique Hotel Nairobi)

Was there for a week way lit and clean rooms, Kudos and good job to receptionist Mary and bar tender Issac and waiter Edwin or Edward not sure with his name, is way professional, caring and resource full.

The staff are always friendly and professional. The Inn itself is very clean and pleasant to be in. I enjoyed the food and drink options. My only complaint was the room was very cold. I was comfortable once in the bed but stepping out for any reason (like a bathroom visit) felt like I was in an icebox which made getting back to sleep difficult.

First, I would love to appreciate the best team in Qaribu inn ; front office team, LISA, MARRY, and my most favorite and absolutely amazing guy JOHN. This team really made my stay fantastic and enjoyable. Mostly, special thanks goes to John who welcomed me at the hotel late at night, I arrived at the hotel while tired, but the amazing John really made my welcome as expected. I mean his hospitality touch is above and beyond international class. I can't forget how he happily escorted me to the room and immediately organized for a quick preparation of my dinner as I was also too hungry. To add, he did not stop there, during my staycation, he was always up to confirm whether everything was okey with me. I was so happy that I even extended my stay by 3 night just because I enjoyed everything in the hotel and John was my guard. Kindly consider him for something great. I would also point out a perfect location for the hotel, away from town but close to the main highway to town, fantastic garden and water view. Great value for money, fair menu prices and not forgetting that this is the ONLY hotel with a kissing bridge in Kenya, so amazing. Restaurant service was nice, but a few things need to be checked like alot of cycling breakfast menus, alot of spices in the meals and some staffs can be trained well to improve on their service. I enjoyed sweet cocktail prepared by Darius and a good breakfast service by ELIUD. Qaribu inn and John, wait for me again.

Overall, I cannot stress enough that booking with this hotel is simply not worth your time or money. My organisation booked at Qaribu for a workshop. We booked for a full day workshop in addition to a block of rooms for our workshop facilitators. The lack of professionalism and courtesy was astonishing and we are so disappointed with how Qaribu treated us and our guests. In a nutshell, the staff are rude, and the experience was unprofessional. To be as specific as possible so others do not waste their time- As a workshop venue: The rooms are not actually large enough for the amount of people they claim can fit. We only had about 25 people, so this wasn't an issue for us, but if you are hoping to accommodate more than 30, it will be a very tight fit. The rooms are pretty worn-out and all the table linens are stained. The bathrooms were not well maintained and seemed to be under construction (the flush systems for the toilets were broken- they worked, but were difficult to use because the buttons were missing). Crucially for a business event, the WiFi is not reliable and there are not enough outlets available for use. Additionally, they will charge you extra for a PA system. They hire in an external team, and that team was great, but their set-up will cut down on your space. You should also plan to bring in your own flipchart paper and markers, because although they say it will be provided- we were given no markers and the only paper they provided had already been used by a previous group. Food: the food was mediocre, but charged at expensive prices. We had complaints from guests, and while I don't think it was terrible, there is so much good food in Nairobi- so I see no reason to pay so much money for subpar food here. If you do book, I would suggest seeing about getting other food catered in. We also pre-paid for drinks at the bar for our guests, but the bar staff charged guests for their drinks anyway, and management has refused to compensate us for this. Accommodation: The rooms are fine/basics are covered, but they are not as nice as the photos make them out to be. Our biggest issue with them, again comes back to the lack f professionalism demonstrated by the staff. We booked 9 rooms for both Monday and Tuesday night, and were told rooms would be available from 12pm on Monday. When booking, I informed the person in charge of our reservation that two people would not be arriving until 6am on Tuesday morning. In agreement with the sales manager, we kept their room reservation for the Monday night so that they would be able to check-into their room immediately upon arrival. However, when they arrived, they were told their rooms were not ready, and they were not able to check-in for another 2.5hrs. When we brought this up to the sales manager on the day, he said we would be refunded for the rooms, but since then, management has refused to do so, and is also claiming that we owe them money for early-check-in. The hotel is quite dated and old. Could do with a coat of paint. A few other things I wasnt so happy about. I did not really like the area as well. However, the staff are AMAZING! And they are the redeeming factor.

The place is run down and there were no pillow cases. Part of the bedding was torn

I would like to complain about the treatment we received from the receptionist and the guard of the gate. We were looking for a picnic site and as it was not in our acquired budget we opted out but as we were waiting for our ride they were talking rudely .

I had an amazing stay. I felt the inclusivity after I asked amendments in their set menu and were acted upon. The services were personalized. The staff were amazing and the location of the hotel is a plus. I got value for my money and I will definitely visit Qaribu Inn again. They have amazing views especially towards their mini lake. So peaceful and serene.

Their rooms are family friendly and they are spacious. The kids room was spacious regardless of it having two beds. They have electric cars, the kids really enjoyed the rides (they are chargeable for a small amount of money, one ride takes a minimum of 30mins). The kids were allowed to play in their gardens/grounds for free. They surprised us with a dinner set up at their beautiful private restaurant facing the lake. He lightning and decor at this restaurant was everything. We Truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the Qaribu in staff. Give Qaribu Inn your Money.
