Really enjoyed meeting fellow guests by serendipity on the Uno port side (20 min across the water). Tip: If arriving after 6 pm, consider bringing snacks such as yogurt, nuts, etc. as the 7-11 is on the other side of the small island and may close early. Also if you're spending 2 nights, you may wish to rent an electric bike from Johnny.

Room was comfortable though small . We had 2 meals in , which after a day out sightseeing was convenient for us and both were very good . We found a cafe in the nearby town where we had breakfast .the staff were lovely and helpful . Negatives . We were a fair bit older than most of the people staying there and as other reviewers have mentioned it is a hike from the port mainly uphill and then a steep flight of stairs to rooms ( luckily for us 1 flight as could have been 2 ) we are fitter than most so we managed ok but it could be a challenge for over 55,s if they are unfit .

My name was on a piece of paper near the door/ shoe shelf. If there is someone staying in a building, he/she/ they would have locked the door so no worries. Big clean and nice :)

Toilets and shower are quite far from the yurts. Basic comfort but that’s ok. Very quite place. Diner is good: you get a large plate with plentiful of meat and some shrimps, vegetables to put on a table bbq. Breakfast is too basic and not our taste: Japanese udon noodles. Tip: go to the nearby Terrace restaurant : you get an excellent breakfast buffet with tons of choice for around 25-30 euro.

離港口走路5-7分鐘~ 周一島休 周日到達時就趕緊去參觀所有景點~ 旅館所在的街道 周日晚上餐廳都幾乎沒有營業~ 還是在港口附近解決晚餐比較恰當~ 我愛錢湯開到晚上九點~ 7-11好像開到十點~ 旅館一樓有飲料投幣機~ 也可以免費泡茶和咖啡~ 二樓有提供公共冰箱讓客人冰東西~ 有提供簡易早餐 土司和果醬奶油等~ 需自行去冰箱拿~ 還算不錯的簡單住宿~ 可以接受喔~

酒店老闆岡田先生是個很熱情的人，房間裏的設施齊全，如洗衣機，廚房用品，因為是他們家自己的土地上建的房子，所以房間麪積比較大，由於此前客人多為歐美人士，故酒店式公寓的氛圍比較濃。特別需要提到的是老闆會免費借自行車給客人使用，從碼頭坐二路公交車直接到天皇下站下車就到。直島存在晚上用餐的困難，他們家對麪就有一家好像叫海子的餐廳。還有就是我們要去參觀的地中美術館因為擔心周日參觀人數較多，老闆岡田先生特地用自己的轎車送我們上山，而且是走一條無法通行公交車和自行車（因為陡坡）的秘密小路。

Large yurt with 4 beds. Very clean. Quite hard beds. Excellent location near Benesse Museum (walking distance, or next to bus stop). Excellent airconditioning. Toilets and shower are quite far from the yurts. Basic comfort but that’s ok. Very quite place. Diner is good: you get a large plate with plentiful of meat and some shrimps, vegetables to put on a table bbq. Breakfast is too basic and not our taste: Japanese udon noodles. Tip: go to the nearby Terrace restaurant : you get an excellent breakfast buffet with tons of choice for around 25-30 euro.

Near to Miyanoura Port, coming from Uno Port. It is a mere 4 min walk from the port. There is no reception to inform you of the room. So we opened the doors to each building. My name was on a piece of paper near the door/ shoe shelf. If there is someone staying in a building, he/she/ they would have locked the door so no worries. Big clean and nice :)

旅客船の港から近く、家プロジェクトを回るのに良い立地でした。見た目は民家ですが、部屋は清潔感があり、ユニットバスやウォシュレットも完備されていてよかったです。寒い日でしたが電気敷き毛布があって温かくして眠ることができました。ご主人がとてもお優しくて、送迎や直島のビュースポットを案内してくださって、直島観光を満喫できました。また直島に来たいと思いました。その時も竹の家を利用したいと思います。

Room was comfortable though small . We had 2 meals in , which after a day out sightseeing was convenient for us and both were very good . We found a cafe in the nearby town where we had breakfast .the staff were lovely and helpful . Negatives . We were a fair bit older than most of the people staying there and as other reviewers have mentioned it is a hike from the port mainly uphill and then a steep flight of stairs to rooms ( luckily for us 1 flight as could have been 2 ) we are fitter than most so we managed ok but it could be a challenge for over 55,s if they are unfit .

酒店老闆岡田先生是個很熱情的人，房間裏的設施齊全，如洗衣機，廚房用品，因為是他們家自己的土地上建的房子，所以房間麪積比較大，由於此前客人多為歐美人士，故酒店式公寓的氛圍比較濃。特別需要提到的是老闆會免費借自行車給客人使用，從碼頭坐二路公交車直接到天皇下站下車就到。直島存在晚上用餐的困難，他們家對麪就有一家好像叫海子的餐廳。還有就是我們要去參觀的地中美術館因為擔心周日參觀人數較多，老闆岡田先生特地用自己的轎車送我們上山，而且是走一條無法通行公交車和自行車（因為陡坡）的秘密小路。

Nice place on a hill, just a 10-12 min walk from the passenger boat pier on the Honmura side of Naoshima. Friendly manager ”Johnny.” Interior is nicer than the pix suggest. Really enjoyed meeting fellow guests by serendipity on the Uno port side (20 min across the water). Tip: If arriving after 6 pm, consider bringing snacks such as yogurt, nuts, etc. as the 7-11 is on the other side of the small island and may close early. Also if you're spending 2 nights, you may wish to rent an electric bike from Johnny.
