耶魯大學的學習(The Study at Yale, Study Hotels)

Overrated and overpriced. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbor’s TV for hours. Both mattresses in our room were lumpy and sagged noticeably on one side, where people sit on them to get into bed or roll off them when waking up. So saggy that we actually rolled to that side when lying flat in the center of the mattress. I travel 100+ days a year, and these were the worst mattresses I can ever remember. l

It was located within walking distance of Yale University and the 'downtown' shopping area surrounding Yale. I have been to multiple Ivy League schools and Yale is the most elegant schools I have ever been to. This hotel was well designed with a modernized business theme inside the lobby and rooms. There was a nice snack bar at the front desk offering fruits and drinks, a store for shopping, and a formal restaurant available. There was also many restaurants to eat at within walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help with all accommodations.

Overall it was fine but it is a loud. The heater, clicks for 2 minutes before it turns on. The walls were very thin. Our desk would rattle when doors closed in other rooms. We were next to the supply closet and it was being used as before 8a on a Sunday and was super loud. Also was very surprised the restaurant closes at 9p on a Saturday night.

The property was beautiful and the check in staff were excellent. My issues were with the way I was treated by the staff at the restaurant located in the hotel. I waited 50 minutes for my food to be brought out and by the time it was it was cold and the manager treated me like all I wanted was something free when all I wanted was the same service provided to those around me. People who came after me to the restaurant were being served timely and even eating as we were still waiting for our drinks. Also the morning we were leaving the hotel our hall had an alarming odor that made me uncomfortable. We were located on the third floor towards the middle and a room all the way at the end of the hall had a STRONG stench that could be smelled from the beginning of the hall. It was a rotten smell and I’m not sure what it was exactly but we checked out shortly after. The hotel was beautiful i wish we could have enjoyed our stay but little things such as good service make a big difference.
