I booked a Studio Suite with a sofa bed room through *******, at a much higher rate than a regular room. Upon checking in I was told ******* only gave the info to the hotel that I booked a “regular” king room, that it did not indicate on my reservation I booked a suite. The hotel was fully booked, and I was basically told nothing can be done except to talk to the manager in the morning. We stayed one night on the smallest room I have ever stayed in in New Orleans, with a broken closet door, stained furniture, and moldy bathroom. The worst part was that the air conditioner was also broken, so we slept in a room that was 80 degrees overnight. All other hotels were fully booked as well (saints game) or else I would have left in the middle of the night. So first thing in the morning we checked out, after overpaying for one night in the worst room I have ever stayed in, and paid less money to say in a nearby luxury hotel. ******* says I need to take it up with the hotel, and the hotel said this is *******’s fault for promising a Studio Suite on their website that they didn’t have available. I can’t believe I paid so much for one night in such an awful room. I won’t be using ******* in the future or staying at a Hampton Inn ever again. Lesson learned!
