Staff are very nice, got an issue with the car and they help to fix it. The buffet breakfast also quite good as well.

Great location! Friendly & helpful staff. Room was clean and well made.

Front of house staff were great. However the room condition was terrible, paint peeling off tiles in the bathroom area, air conditioner not functioning correctly.... The worst was that when we woke in the morning we found a used "*******" in the foot of the bed, clearly indicating that the bed had obviously not been changed. We were offered free parking to the value of a whopping $16. Pretty poor for the quality of the stay and the price we paid.

The room was clean and well presented. Staff we friendly and helpful. However, the noise during the night was loud. There was a constant noise that sounded like a motor which was too loud to sleep. The fire alarm light would flash at random times during the night. Not possible to get to sleep and then you add in the road noise - unfortunately not the place to stay in Newcastle.

Good location for walking or tramming into the CBD. Hotel is in need of refurbishment with most of the city block now under redevelopment. Average outside appearance and OK inside. Parking was $15/night and is limited. Area around the hotel was not the best at night with noise from a 24/7 McDonalds most of the night.

During a very busy weekend with lots of events over the Easter break, staff made time for us and accommodated our special requests with excellent humour. The location was excellent for our needs with lots of excellent dining options nearby. The pool was also excellent on the warmer evening for a nice relaxing finish to the day.

Room generally clean and tidy. Bathroom dated, taps on shower did not work so had to take bath instead (very difficult for hubby as he has bad hip). Toilet seat loose, almost coming off. Iron had goop stuck to the soleplate and had to be replaced. Room key card faulty. Staff were fantastic, fixed problems immediately and with good attitude. Overall Hotel seems a bit tired and is letting down the good staff.
