謝爾曼飯店(Hotel Scherman)

Very run down. All of the upholstery is very stained. Cabinets are scratched up. Shower floors are black with mold in the grout. The superficial renovation done a few years back did not update any bathroom fixtures which are all tacky and outdated. The outdoor patio walls are stained with mold and the cushions need replaced. The street has decent restaurants but the food from the breakfast bar is processed, cheep and stale.

Hotel Scherman is tucked in amongst many restaurants. It’s close to the busy part of NYC but nice and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfy. Shower and bathroom clean. Breakfast was simple but tasty and in such a cool space. The roof top deck was decorated very cool with faux plants hanging. Pretty views of the city. I’m definitely going back to NYC and will book this hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful!

We could not have asked for a better hotel! The location was so perfect, my family joked that everything was .3 miles from what we wanted to do and as an added bonus just downstairs were wonderful places to eat if you didnt feel like going anywhere. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and employees were kind and helpful.

Every staff member was warm and helpful. The location on restaurant row and near Times Square couldn't be beat. The deck on the roof was a lovely surprise: nicely decorated, comfortable and a great view. The room was attractive and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely use this hotel again - can't recommend more highly!

My son and I stayed at Hotel Scherman for two days. We had a wonderful time in NYC and the hotel couldn't have been better. We came to tour NYU - and were walking distance from Broadway (Funny Girl was excellent!), top notch Thai food (Pure Thai Cookhouse incredible), shopping on 5th Ave and walks in GC park!, and express and local subway stops nearby. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and sunny, beds comfortable, windows open for fresh air, breakfast area and food lovely, staff very kind, and the rooftop a fun place to hang out. For an affordable, surprisingly relaxing place to hang your hat while in NYC, look no further than Hotel Scherman:)

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel Scherman! The check-in process was super easy. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable! Very easy to get around the city from the hotel. There is a subway station close by, lots of places to eat, and within walking distance to Times Square. I would definitely stay here again! :)

LOVE this hotel for a family trip to see Hamilton. Two blocks from the theater and 10+ amazing restaurants right out the front door. The room was more spacious than most in NYC, and the roof deck was an incredible bonus. The continental breakfast was ample (unless you're gluten free), with a selection of pastries, breads, cereals, jams, Nutella, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices and milk. We were on the street side on the 2nd floor during fleet week and weren't bothered by street noise. The STAFF was amazing and friendly. It's not the newest or fanciest hotel on the block, but charming, clean, and comfortable. We would stay here every time for the location, the roof deck, and the staff.

The employees were extra friendly and helpful. Everyone in NYC was very kind. Very safe hometown feel. They held our luggage on the last day so we could enjoy the MET before leaving town. They held packages of mine that arrived befoe us.

The room looked exactly as it did in the photo. We had an excellent stay. Everything was clean and the staff was great. The location was perfect! We will be back! I didn't realized there was a sink in the main room too - a little kitchenette. Refrigerator, coffee/tea, bottle opener, some utensils. Terrific! The continental breakfast was great for a quick bite before heading out for the day. Thank you for a great stay!
