Penhallow House Glamping Retreat - 彭哈洛別墅露營度假地

Trois étoiles parce qu’il y avait personne pour nous accueillir alors que nous sommes arrivés dix minutes avant la fin de la période autorisée pour arriver. Et que personne n’a répondu au téléphone pour trouver notre pod. Nous avions reçu le nom du pod et l’indication que c’était le 1er à droite. Mais sans plan nous avons crû ne jamais trouvé et y sommes arrivés au bout de 15 mn dans la nuit Autrement pour ceux qui aiment voir de très près des poules, oies, dindon et coq (et l’entendre dès l’aube), je recommande vivement.

As soon as we arrived we was welcomed by Richard the host who is lovely, he showed us to our pod….it was a good size, well equipped and 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. There are drinks available from the summerhouse 24 hours a day tea, coffee, water and fresh orange juice. The breakfast was fresh pastries, toast, eggs, fresh fruit and cereal. The bed was really comfy I had a really good nights sleep. This place was so peaceful i will be planning to go back with my family what a great place and it’s only a 13 min drive to Newquay.

Our stay at Penhallow House was absolutely lovely. Set on a farm with friendly animals all around, it offered a serene and beautiful atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, adding to the charm of the whole experience. The glamping tent exceeded our expectations with a super comfy bed, undercover heating for cooler nights, and mood-setting lights that created a perfect environment. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making these accommodations both comfortable and enchanting. Highly recommend for a unique and relaxing time. Just some tips for improvement: there was light coming into the tents in the morning, and we had brought only one sleeping mask with us. It would be useful if the accommodation could provide spare ones. Similarly, with earplugs—having the turkey and chickens around us on the farm was so lovely, but they start their day crowing way earlier than our anticipated wake-up time haha So, it would again be useful to have some spare earplugs in the accommodation for that reason.

Comfy cozy hide away in lovely surroundings. We would give up our 4walls for a relaxing night in the wooden ones anyday. I was worried it may of been cold this time of year, but was pleasantly suprised it was warm with a radiator and electric blanket on the bed if wanted. Facilities were super clean and comfy with everything to hand, with friendly hosts. Definitely will be returning. Highly recommended for relaxing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. I visited way out of season in order to attend a business meeting and to see family, and therefore, I didn't expect too much in terms of an experience like those described by those visiting in the peak season. In fact, I simply wanted a bit of peace and quiet, a warm place to sleep, a simple decent breakfast, broadband to watch TV at night, a bus to get into Newquay and a safe place to park my motorbike. I got all of these plus some wonderful opportunities to reminisce. My brothers and mum catching the steam train from Newquay to Chacewater in the late 1950's and early 1960s, which used to run just by the side of the pod where I slept and me walking past the shop in St.Newlyn East which is now a hairdressers but which my dad operated in the late 1960's and 1970's when he was a barbers. Now, of course, you won't have these memories, but you will get a fabulous place to stay at a great price and your own memories. I shall definitely try and return.

What a charming little woodland haven! Loved having the chickens and turkey greet us in the morning before having lovely brekky made by the friendly host. A special quirky cool place that you know you’re going to come back to. 😎

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a work stay. The bell tent was very comfortable and there was plenty of bedding available including an electric blanket as it was cold. The facilities are just what’s needed. The breakfast in the summer house was a great start to the day, a great selection to choose from. A lovely setting and I had dinner in a local pub, The Pheasant. Good food and good service all round.

16 of us stayed at Penhallow House for the weekend. We were playing rugby in the daytime so asked if we could check in early. They were more than accommodating. Early check ins, tour of the site, happy to move stuff around so we could all fit comfortably together. Great size pods which fit 3 people, but could easily fit more with space! Lovely fire pit areas. Clean toilets. Breakfast the next morning was perfect! What do you feed a bunch of very sore, hungover rugby players? Bacon! The owner was happy to put out a tonne of cooked bacon for us all to destroy and fresh baked muffins (which were still warm). A perfect weekend at a great price!
