賈科莫阿桑德連鎖飯店(The Giacomo, Ascend Hotel Collection)

The hotel's picture shows a highrise, but the hotel itself only takes fl 1-6. If you do not get the 6th floor, you will either get the view of the town or the back side of the quality inn bldg. You can use the elevator to the 18th fl and walk 1 fl up to have a birdeye view of the falls. Breakfast has to be preordered.

Where do I start… The WORST hotel we have ever stayed in… The room smelled musty, the carpet was threadbare, it was a very small room overpopulated with furniture…so there was no place to put your bags. The water had no pressure and was just barely warm…The breakfast was just ok… and the parking lot across the street, so bringing in bags was a hassle… Do yourself a favor and stay on the Canadian side!

We could not believe it was a green hotel where the outlets turn off after 45 min. If you need to charge your cell phones or use a CPAP machine, do not stay here. In the morning only one elevator can be used. breakfast was good and the service was on time. The hotel is very old. There has to be a better place to stay where the outlets don’t turn off.

Abbiamo potuto fare il check-in con 45 minuti di ritardo rispetto all’orario indicato perché la stanza non era pronta; avevamo una camera con letto matrimoniale e divano letto, il divano letto non era pronto e al momento del check-in ci hanno dato un sacchetto con lenzuola e coperte perché c’è lo preparassimo da soli. Viene richiesto il giorno prima cosa si vuole mangiare per colazione la mattina dopo ed è possibile scegliere un solo articolo per categoria per ciascun ospite; noi avevamo scelto di mangiare in sala ma si sono sbagliati e hanno portato il cibo in camera e non c’era tutto quello che avevamo chiesto e i prodotti erano di scarsa qualità e bicchieri e posate di plastica. In camera si sente un forte odore di polvere a causa della moquette vecchia e macchiata. La posizione rispetto alle cascate è ottima.

We chose the Giacomo above nearby less expensive hotels thinking it would be a 'treat'. But it was disappointing. Very aged, worn, and way overpriced.
