This location’s selling point is definitely the area where it’s at - right in the heart of downtown Athens - which was the main reason for booking this hotel. However, the room wasn’t as ‘grand’ as the pictures online show (it seems like a brand new building but there’s already patched cracks in the ceiling, etc.). The room was still decent and clean. The customer service was where I had the issue. Don’t get me wrong, the staff wasn’t rude or impolite by any means - but they were almost cold and seemed to be there to just do their jobs. The gentleman who checked me in made zero eye contact and made me feel like I was ‘not the type’ who should be staying here - a complete 360 shift from the small group who checked in ahead of me. Similar experience in the morning with a female staff member. Either way, it wasn’t what I’m used to with Marriott.

The hotel is located in the best location in Athens. Its literally next door do everything worth doing and seeing in town. Its a brand new hotel. Rooms are nice. parking is adequate. The only downside is they are still working out the bugs of being new. Hence my poor rating. The power went out during the middle of the night. We had to get dressed, bathe, etc, in total darkness. No apology whatsoever from hotel management. I expected MUCH more from a hotel room that cost me nearly $500 per night.

Indifferent and unhelpful manager, way overpriced room. 4 star price at $300 but 1 star customer service. Room and facilities are clean.

Nice hotel at start of downtown area of Athens. Close to daughyer's dorm at UGA. 1st time staying. Room looked clean but as soon as come off carpet into bathroom, my shoes were aticking to entire bathroom floor. I took a wet paper towel and wiped and was black . Has keurig, small microwave and small fridge but no freezer.

The location was great and hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Although, whenever you would take a shower water would get all over the floor because there was a gap underneath the door. The ac heat unit is loud when it runs and hard to get a good restful sleep at night. NBC channel is blacked out because a dispute between direct TV. Breakfast was not good and what do you expect when it is free. The hotel would not honor the price that I had when I booked thru third party and charged me more.
