國會湖奧林匹亞飯店(Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake)

Although this is an older hotel, it has some good points. The room size is great, the accessible tub and toilet are well provided with grab bars, and the general location is calm and quiet. Unfortunately, the room directly above us was incredibly noisy until the wee hours, every footstep or roll of a suitcase or rolling desk chair sounded like it was in our room with us (I think a result of the laminate flooring and what sounds like no insulation or sound dampening between floors). Still the price was right and the location very good for our needs on this trip.

We were a little shocked and disappointed that dog (or maybe human?) poo was smashed into the floor along with dog hair. We are allergic to dogs and cats and were miserable the whole time and didn’t know why until we discovered the poo and hair in our last day. If you have allergies to animals, make sure you ask for a pet free room that has not had one of the furry guests in it prior.

really lovely place. staff were helpful. good parking. although it looks like it's next to the lake, it's not accessible, but very close to all of downtown.

I was required to be in town for business purposes. My certification test was being administered at the hotel. I drove in from out of town and booked a room for the night before. It was very convenient to stay in the hotel where I would take my test. Check-in was a breeze and I was able to schedule a Late Check-out in case my testing ran over the scheduled Check-out time.

Große Zimmer aber dunkel. Keine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer und ab 11a.m. wird der kostenlose Kaffee in der Lobby aus irgendwelchen Gründen abgeräumt. Rezeption mal freundlich , mal uninteressiert. Rechnungsstellung ungewöhnlich. Außenanlage hat Potenzial. Ausgestirbene Büroimgebung, aber schnell in downtown

I enjoyed my stay. It was a last minute booking as I planned to go much farther that day than I managed. The restaurant seemed to have a private event going on as there was a sign saying it was closed but there were people inside. If this is a common occurrence, it might be a good idea to call ahead as the on establishment dining was a big draw for me. As was the fitness room and pool. Fitness room was ok but the treadmills were broken. Pool is outdoors and was not open. My Minnesotan acclimation had just assumed it would be with as warm as it was that day. An often overlooked plus was quality soap/shampoo products that didn’t dry me out like usual. A definite stay in the warmer months and a “maybe call ahead” during cold months.

There is almost no noisy insulation. You can hear people in and out, hard to sleep or rest. Also not sure why there is an extra charge after checking out, without explanation.

Extremely outdated and in desperate need of repair. Say they have a pool when you book then when you checkbon it's under construction.
