普拉塔姆納克旅館(Phratamnak Inn - 100 Meter from Beach)

The best and only place to go if you need to relax away, but only 5 minutes away, from bars and other activities you might find in and around Phratamnak Hill in South Pattaya. Paradise beach is just outside the hotel. Perfect. And the nice couple, who owns the place is always around to help.

I read the reviews about the hotel before I booked, I am sorry to say that they must’ve put me in the worst room. It was awful, rundown and it was supposed to be a 3 star so I checked out straight away

I have already done a review and just to let you know that he has also kept my money as I could not stay in that diabolical room , the photos make it look nice, when you see the hotel you are in for a shock, I was given room no 1 it’s appalling and the swimming pool is so small I think no bigger than 10mx5m

First Warning. They demanded I pay in cash or wire money to his personal bank account and he would not accept any credit cards. His reason for this will be covered later. When I went into the room a saw that it is an older place but seemed to be “Okay”. Later I found the internet for my room was not accessible. I talked to the son about it and he told me to try another modem which was located closer to the street on the other side of the pool behind the wall which was blocking its view to my room on the second floor. The distance was about 60 feet. In my room which was on the second floor the signal strength was not strong enough. He called a technician out to solve the problem. I learned it was quite sometime since the modem on the second floor worked. The technician discovered that the cables to the modem were severed by an animal chewing on the wiring. The technician got the Internet to work intermittently. With this problem I was not able to access my banking using the Internet due to the signal going off and on. I gave up and decided to go to bed but there was a centipede in my bedroom. It was on the wall I pulled my bed away from the wall as I did not want to be bitten in my sleep by a centipede. I caught the centipede that I saw and flushed it down the toilet. There was a lizard in the living room it was small it disappeared don’t know where it went. I got up in the morning to take a shower and realized there was no hot water. The bathroom sink and kitchen sink plus shower did not have hot water I tried the hot and cold valves to make sure they were not crossed. It was at this time I decide to leave and pay for the one night I spent there. The maid did not want me to leave. The son told me that someone would be out later to try to fix the Internet problem. I told the son about the centipede lizard lack of hot water and lack of Internet and I want to leave. He told me that he would not give me my money back for the remaining days. The amount I gave them was about $246 American. He told me that *********** would have to get my money back to me. Not true it was a lie. *********** does get the money in this case the owner did. ThIs the reason the Phratamnak Hotel only takes cash they make you wire money directly to the owners account. They will Not Except any kind of credit card. This is done so you have no recourse to get your money back. I believe this is how they operate; customer checks in and deposits money directly into their bank account or into their hands. They expect the customer to leave After they discover how bad the hotel is but they’ve got your money and will not give it back to you. If I could give this place less than a one star rating I would. I’ve been heavily traveling since 1989 this is the worst I have seen. I should have taken pictures of the size of the centipede. I stayed in the room in the 2nd floor far left as you face the building and there is no elevator and the stairs are steep and weathered.
