Woke up in the morning to there have been a leak from the ceiling in the bathroom. I fell in the water and really hurt my leg. Once getting to my feet I noticed a layer of mould in the corner of the bathroom where this leak must have been happening for some time. Was offered £40 off my bill which looking back now is pretty pathetic as my leg has hurt all day and began to bruise. Would not stay again. The restaurant is overpriced. I’ve enclosed a picture of the food, the burger was £26.50. It was dry and the bun was over cooked and crumbly. Would expect a lot more for a £60plus food bill for one person. Ordered the apple crumble to be told there wasn’t any custard and had to have cold double cream on it.

Very excited to stay in a castle for the very first time! The room was nice, but the bed wasn't very comfortable. Very clean, and dinner was nice. Didn't have that grand castle feel we were hoping for, but it was quiet, and a nice place to stay for the price.

I paid for a for post king bed, and got a normal queen stuck in a king frame. No posts or castle feel, the room was not what they advertised. The pictures on the website make you think its a four or five star hotel. Far from it, i would give it a three star at best. Run down and worn out. Please don't wast your money, you will be very disappointed. And you will pay way way way to much money. I talked to the manager, he said he would make it right since i was unhappy with the room. I'm back in the US and he has done nothing.

Terrible. Furniture looked like it was picked up from the tip. Wallpaper ripped. Extremely hot with no fan. Bathroom very shabby. Have stayed in much nicer barn conversions for a quarter of the price. Nothing luxury about this place. Room looks nothing like pictures on the website.

Reception, pleasant, barman organised and attentive, restaurant staff 1 girl in particular was exceptional. Food was good well cooked and seasoned. No faults there. Surrounding area qas surreal and relaxing. Have to say the room was a bit deceptive. Booking a classic room. King bed i did expect something more than a staff overnight sleepover room. It was a 25th wedding anniversary and not the ideal start. Not the room advertised in the photo for sure.

The hotel was was very disappointing. The room were very shabby, with stains on the wall and shabby furniture. The service was very average and the room wasn’t cleaned well. The castle and grounds were amazing. Such a shame the hotel doesn’t make the most of its surroundings.

Very disappointed that the hotel has charged my credit card £15 more than the agreed ********** price given to me and the ********** invoice. Travellers beware!!!
