白天鵝飯店(The White Swan Inn)

Wonderful hotel in the centre of PIckering . King size bed was so comfortable struggled to get out !! Bramble toiletries were gorgeous .Food in restaurant was top class The home made bread was incredible genuinely the best bread I have ever eaten . The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. If I could suggest an added addition to the hotel would be some chairs and tables in the outside area . Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again .

Excellent hotel. We were in the Hideaway rooms behind the hotel separate from the main building. No.16. The room was perfect, spacious, immaculately clean, and lovely and warm. We had everything we could need for a fab stay. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay with fabulous staff and really good customer service. Nothing too much trouble. Room was very comfortable. Wonderful food - catering well for those who are gluten intolerant. Few minutes walk to Pickering Station and the heritage railway. Highly recommend

Charming Pub, lovely atmosphere, brilliant service... Staff very friendly, professional and efficient. The food was exceptional. A special evening....would definitely recommend and will definitely return on our next visit to Pickering.

A friend and I had a lovely two night stay here, courtesy of a Travelzoo deal. There was a slight mix-up after we arrived and found that we’d been allocated a double room when we’d requested a twin room. However, this was quickly sorted and we were moved into the room next door (#12) which was configured as a twin. The room, which overlooked the main street, was one of the vintage rooms and was a reasonable size and very comfortable. For anybody who’s disturbed by light when sleeping, a potential ****** is that there’s a step down to the en suite which, for us, meant leaving the bathroom light turned on overnight, should one of us need the bathroom during the night and forget about the step! The White Swan really is such a fabulous place, with fabulous staff who can’t do enough to help and fantastic food. We had dinner in the restaurant and, whilst not especially cheap, our meals were delicious; I started with the scallops and followed with the pan fried stone bass whilst my friend had the smoked almonds to start and slow roast belly pork for her main. Breakfast was equally enjoyable, and so relaxing and unhurried which I always appreciate. Not only was there a wide choice, with all the usual offerings, but everything was of an extremely high standard and I can only describe breakfast as being a faultless experience for me. There’s such a warm and cosy atmosphere here, helped by the numerous open fires which were always lit and lent great physical warmth to the inn. The White Swan really does ooze character, along with a calmness and friendliness that left us wanting to make a return visit before too long. This is a lovely place that’s up there with the best in its category.

From the warm welcome when you arrive to the day you check out you will be greeted with a smile. Great location to explore the village and a 5 min walk to the steam train. Food was excellent both for breakfast & lunch, good wine list. We had a hideaway room which was well appointed, clean and comfortable what more can you ask for. We will be back.

Excellent all round stay. Efficient, friendly and adaptable service and the food is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and have the old world charm of an old inn. Can cope with parties as well as small groups. We have been several times now knowing it is reliably good.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous, food ,drink, rooms etc (try the Black Sheep milk stout omg!!) What is very impressive is the staff...they run when working!! They're polite, responsive & are obviously well trained. Couldn't fault this hotel. Must mention the information folder in the room...have a read ...hilarious!!

Overnight break on our journey from the south coast to Scotland. Right in the middle of Pickering. Easy parking at the back of the hotel. Friendly attentive staff. Comfy beds, rooms have everything needed for a 2 night stay- toiletries, hairdryer, coffee/tea making, bath robes, fluffy towels. We asked for an anti slip mat for the bath which was in our room on our return from our day out. Delicious breakfast served in a calm atmosphere. We will return.
