The owner (Erin) was really nice and tried her best. Also the tours that we had planned were pretty close to the property, so we reached the meeting points by foot. Nice and quiet neighborhood. But, I must say that the photos on the website were absolutely different from what we found in reality. The facilities were too old and the linen was of very poor quality and had seen better days. The mattress was apparently of the same quality, very uncomfortable and felt like a water bed. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Erin prepared each day a single dish, whether you liked it or not. No options. There were no bread, butter, pastries, fresh veggies or other elementary items. An american coffee and that's it.

The room was cozy and comfortable, the bathroom was nice, the breakfast was DEElicious!!! I mean, gourmet quality. It's very clean, and well run. They have the sweetest dogs, all rescued Siberian Huskies whom we adored. Plus Erin was just so nice. Good people, you know? This is the first time we've ever stayed in a BandB, so I'm glad it was a wonderful experience.

The accommodations were very comfortable, clean and attractive. The breakfasts were balanced, unique and delicious. The dining room and living room were nicely furnished and quite comfortable. Plenty of magazines and the daily newspaper were provided for our use at the Chadwick.The innkeepers were friendly and very accommodating!

We recently stayed at the Chadwick and had our wedding there. Erin is the owner and also performed our ceremony. It could not have been better. The rooms were fabulous, beautiful and clean. We were married in front of their fireplace, which was gorgeous and perfect. Erin helped with flowers, wrote the ceremony, performed the ceremony, and made us breakfast! We had 2 breakfasts with her and both were out of this world. I gave her a very brief suggestion and she elevated it to the nines! Her dogs are adorable and add such fun and hominess without being intrusive. I felt calm and cared for in her home. You cannot go wrong with any kind stay with her. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Chadwick’s! This bed and breakfast was so inviting! Erin and Zack left us a bouquet of flowers in our room congratulating us! The rooms were clean and comfortable!! The breakfast was delicious and unique! They always had snacks available and different teas to enjoy!! The Inn was quiet and also convenient to the city! The hosts were very nice and very helpful too! Can’t wait to come again!!

Easy drive from Connecticut. Great location! We were able to easily walk to restaurants, shops, waterfront, etc. Hosts were very gracious, and the home cooked breakfasts were outstanding! We loved the 3 very friendly dogs. Will definitely go again.

We enjoyed our stay while we were in Portland on family business. The overwhelming positive reviews are well earned. Erin was a delightful host and an excellent cook. Our breakfasts were delicious and inventive. As a couple in our seventies, we found the accommodations very comfortable. We are planning to return on our next visit.

Discovered this gem several years ago and have been staying here each time we come to Portland. It's welcoming and relaxed. The breakfasts are awesome and we love having "vacation" pets. Not sure if it's the breakfasts, dogs, or Erin, Zack, and Lily's hospitality that keeps us coming back. Probably all 3.

The breakfast was delicious and the BnB was very comfortable! My boyfriend and I had a great, really relaxing two-night stay. We were able to walk to the art museum (~15 min) and to Old Port (~30 min) from the Chadwick. The check-in and check-out were super easy, and the hosts (and their dogs) were welcoming.
