First I want say I was disappointed because after I read so many great reviews I had decided this property was the right place to go.
I only stayed for two nights thank god. My room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. That was fine. The hotel had low occupancy so I was surprised, but understood. I had lunch and the food was decent. My room was dirty. Dirty table, hair in the tub, yellow bath water, broken jacuzzi & the room was not steps from the pool as promised. I ordered room service. The food was good but ice cream melted. My next morning I tried to secure an airport transfer. It took all day to make someone understand that I didn't have a reservation but needed to make a new one. I did try to set this up weeks before my trip but no one had actually confirmed it through ******* or the hotel. At 6pm the hotel guest experiences manager came to my room and called on my behalf. The day had been wasted. That evening I went to the Mexican restaurant and ordered the chicken dish. It was weird. The restaurant is run down. Sad linens. Dirty windows and towels in the sills. The beach view offered locals selling and doing *****. I felt unsafe at this point. Next morning paid transfer never arrived. The driver went to a diff property Royalton Hideaway they said. I had to pay for a very expensive taxi to avoid missing my flight. Please note: the check-in process is slow with often just 1 person working the desk. All the spa facilities are out of service. It was a complete waste of $700.
