BEWARE. Absolutely horrible experience, the worst comfort of any hotel we've used in the romantica zone. We have been coming to PV for over 18 years. We chose the San Marino for location, which is the one of very few good things I have to say about this hotel. The other is the bar staff are very friendly, and truly want their guests to be happy. We stayed in rooms 406 and 405. This property is divided into two different hotels: San Marino and Vista Pier. Day 1 we placed our beach towel on the wrong chairs at 8am, at 11am we were told we couldn't sit there, by this time, all of the ”correct” lounge chairs and umbrellas were taken. Spent an hour discussing with concierge from both companies and were allowed to stay if we ordered drinks otherwise we would have to pay 350 pesos to use the other company's chairs. Day 3 we put our towels and personal belongings on the correct chairs, met up with a friend for coffee, when we returned the hotel had taken our things off the chairs and again we had no place to sit. The bed is rock hard, the pillows are lumpy foam pieces, bathroom is old and outdated. We spilled a coffee on the floor of our room, asked for a mop, no one came, called a second time, again no one showed up. The coffee stain remained on the floor for the duration of our week stay. The pool is milky and disgusting, full of floaties and children at all times of the day. I was appalled at this experience, and it seems this hotel is keen to cater to locals rather than tourists. The beach staff from San Marino don't care about anything, and seem like they're in a scheme to get guests to pay for the exclusive areas, even if it means removing guest's belongings if they step away so they won't have a place anymore. The maids often forgot to leave fresh water bottles in our room for us to brush our teeth with, as there are signs to not drink the tap water. Bath mats were also often forgotten. No hand towels or face clothes were provided for the bathroom. We helped ourselves to extra towels off the maid cart each day so we would have enough. For $133 CAD, this was disgusting. Rip off to the maximum. Stay away!!

We had a spacious room with a balcony, king size bed over looking the pool - which I highly recommend. There is building work outside the hotel so avoid the rooms overlooking the road. We were told we could not use the main hotel swimming pool ( but we did anyway and no one cared) although they did have security guards hovering about. This hotel does not have a bar, which is fine for us, there was no coffee available most mornings (there was meant to be) which was a bit annoying but that was the only thing to complain about! Staff were friendly although some of the reception staff had poor English so best to have an app on your phone!

位置,房間,設施都很棒的價格。清潔人員做得很好,前台工作人員非常樂於助人。餐廳不是你可以通過任何手段在瓦利亞塔港獲得的最好的食物。不過,如果不想離開,非常實惠,方便。幾個街區外也有很多很棒的餐廳。游泳池的椅子早早地充滿了毛巾,所以如果他們再增加幾把椅子,我相信有空間,那就太好了。在游泳池邊休息,可以走幾步跳入大海。酒吧(就在游泳池旁邊)下午1點-下午3點和下午5點-7點都有很好的飲料特價。我喜歡麥泰!如果你正在尋找悠閒,海灘前住宿,這就是地方。

Excellent location- across from the beach in the centre of town. Beds were firm, with good bedding and pillows. We had a spacious room with a balcony, king size bed over looking the pool - which I highly recommend. There is building work outside the hotel so avoid the rooms overlooking the road. We were told we could not use the main hotel swimming pool ( but we did anyway and no one cared) although they did have security guards hovering about. This hotel does not have a bar, which is fine for us, there was no coffee available most mornings (there was meant to be) which was a bit annoying but that was the only thing to complain about! Staff were friendly although some of the reception staff had poor English so best to have an app on your phone!
