Stayed here in April with my sister. Booked this hotel given it markets itself as a boutique hotel, though the price is definitely on the expensive end of other options in Punakha. The setting of the hotel itself is very nice amidst pines and in the mountains, the local staff are very friendly. Unfortunately on both nights we stayed, there were two very large groups of tourists who were very noisy. On the first night, the group requested a large speaker to play loud music outside. The second night the dining room was incredibly noisy to the point we couldn’t really hear each other. We were quite flexible and didn’t mind joining in the music or eating outside to avoid the noise, but for guests who are explicitly looking for a calm and peaceful boutique experience, I would not recommend this hotel given it seems to cater to very large groups, especially at this price point. The food was also just ok. Other than that, enjoyed the attention of the staff.
