崖邊飯店(The Cliffside Boutique Getaway)

Imagine um lugar com apenas 5 suítes, num bairro residencial de altíssimo padrão e um time de cinco pessoas para fazer você se sentir a pessoa mais importante do mundo. Foi isso que sentimos ao chegar no The Cliffside. Os ambientes externos e os quartos são de um hotel cinco estrelas. Mas a atenção que tivemos vai muito além das “cinco estrelas” tradicionais. Já viajei para mais de 20 países, já fiquei em alguns dos melhores hotéis do mundo, mas nunca me senti tão especial. Cada detalhe é pensado para fazer a diferença na sua estadia. O ponto alto foi fugir totalmente do cardápio do pequeno restaurante e pedir um prato tipicamente africano. Melhor, pedir para vê-los cozinhar. Pedido aceito! Tivemos uma das melhores refeições das nossas vidas. E como foi no dia 25 de dezembro, podemos dizer que nossa estada no The cliffside foi um presente dos deuses. Certamente voltaremos mais vezes!

We stayed at Cliffside twice during our month of vacation travelling in South Africa. It was our absolutely favorite place to stay, both in terms of quality of lodging and food and value for money. The accommodations are luxurious and the staff exceptionally warm and attentive. The hotel is in superb condition with lovely art and a modern Scandinavian aesthetic. The food was excellent and tailored to our preferences. The staff even stored baggage for us while in another part of the country. The hotel is about a 45 taxi drive from the airport but don't be put off by the distance as the best awaits you and tours pick up at the hotel. It was too chilly to use the outdoor pool and we didn't hike the trails but these options would only further enhance a stay. This is a destination hotel, ideal for either recreation of business purposes. We will be back!

The property is beautiful, but the welcome from Cazz, Connie, Phindi, Mbali and Elias, the outstanding attention to detail and care, and superior quality is unsurpassed. We have rarely found such a place that just gets everything right! The deck, poolside, walks and surroundings are beautiful. Rooms are individual, airy and bright, with high quality amenities. We opted for one evening of fine dining, and again first class. We will certainly be back very soon, it truly felt like being at ‘home’…only better! Thank you The Cliffside team for making our trip extra special!

What a special place ! From the moment you arrive you feel welcome. The staff are really exceptional and provide the highest level of personal service imaginable. The walking trails behind the property gives one a feeling of being in the bush , forgetting that you are actually in the city The property has some special South African art throughout , and even the furniture are proudly South African , made by Houtlander. The highlight of our stay was the walking trails , celestial telescope on our balcony , as well as the highly recommended fine dining dinner. This place really deserve to be classified as one of the must see and must visit properties in Gauteng. Thank you Cazz and Mbali for making our stay unforgettable. We will definitely see you soon again !

Our stay was out of this world! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had the best time. The accommodation was spectacular, with fantastic views for miles, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly, extremely professional and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Highly recommended and we will defiantly visit again, this time we will stay longer!

We had a wonderful stay a The Cliffside. Every single member of staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible for us. We had forgotten to organise dinner in advance, but the chef on site went above & beyond to cook us up the most delicious vegetarian curry. Not only that, they set up a lovely private dining area in our rooms garden to enjoy it in. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay here and will definitely be back.

It was a recommendation from my sister who took her husband for his graduation celebration. I can safely say the standard has dropped from then. We were planning to take our husbands there but after showing her the pictures and describing the difference in service, we will not be. The romantic “turn down” was such a disappoin**ent and would not have received the strawberries and chocolates had I not asked about them. The petals to the bathroom were close to none. There were 4 candles in the bath and nothing on the basin. It was really below par, no birthday note or any of the special touches my sister had gotten. There seems to be a change in management which is why things have changed but it’s really disheartening. I spent so much money to make my husband’s birthday special and there was really no effort. Which defeats the purpose of going to a boutique hotel. To add on that the breakfast was burnt we couldn’t even finish. The fruit platter could have been done by a 5 year old with bananas cut in half. I’m extremely disappointed

A wonderful stay with a staff taking care of all your possible needs and being so nice. A great cook preparing excellent food, and a very nice room fully equipped and high tech and having a great view on the cliffs.

Highly recommended – beautiful facility, first class all the way. Outstanding food and they accommodated my vegetarian diet beautifully. We only had one night but never left the property other than to walk the trails behind the property to a lovely view of the city. Unique in that it felt like a beautiful home with lovely art, etc. and staff was very welcoming and helpful.
