黑珍珠海灘公寓(The Black Pearl Beachside Apartments)

Stayed in Sept - Oct 2023 fabulous stay in lovely private gardens .We had a Pool side view .Hosts could not be more welcoming & all our needs were met with pleasure . Hosts even enjoyed joining us for a delicious BBQ .Great CITC store next door with all the products you may need & the Maori Cafe alongside has great Burgers & meals.Safe swimming directly across the road with the hosts offering free use of snorkeling equipment. We will definitely be coming over again to holiday at the Block Pearl.

My family stayed here for a week and we couldn't be more impressed by our host Paul and his fabulous seaside apar**ents. The guests ranged from single travellers, couples to families, and The Black Pearl was perfect for all. The rooms were spacious and well stocked, and we were pleasantly surprised with a prepaid local telephone for each unit to use. The location was perfect, with a beautiful beach across the road and a short distance to great snorkelling. There was a small food store next door which had everything we needed, plus a great cafe and ice cream parlor, which made my kids happy. We loved our stay here and would recommend this accommodation to everyone. Simply the best!

We had a group of 20 stay 8 nights with 5 rooms booked. Servicing was a huge issue during our stay. We often had to request that the rooms be serviced with new bed linen, towels etc (which they said could only be serviced as linen became available). Many of our group were stuck with dirty linen for a number of days and encountered push back from service staff when asked for the basics - fresh towels, linen, toilet paper. Our room was not pleasant - the bathroom unclean with a bad odour! Paul and Rangi were very helpful - however would not stay again!!

Our time at The Black pearl was OK. Janelle and Paul were helpful and gave good recommendations, they couldn't help the weather! Receptionist Rangi was the best and she and the beachfront bar down the beach helped to make our stay more enjoyable. The rooms were fine, clean and tidy and it was nice to be able to cook ourselves a meal. However there were little inconveniences that were missing that would have been appreciated.....like a complimentary shampoo (sorry, we don't travel with bottles of shampoo and shower gel!) and a bus shelter that actually gave shelter. Info about the Bus App on arrival would have been a great help too as it would have saved us several long waits in the rain (other tourists gave us that information). We also would have appreciated Paul NOT **** whipping around the pool while guests were using it and NOT lighting the fire across the road while the wind was drifting stinky smoke directly into our room. Unpleasant to say the least. Just saying!

We loved our stay at the Black Pearl. Our room was spacious with beautiful painted butterflies and leaves on the wall. The owners keep the grounds immaculate and are helpful and friendly. Shipwreck bar is short walk down the beach.

Best place to stay for peace and quiet and relax by the pool or a quiet bbq in the cabana Rooms are spacious and comfortable with café takeaway ice cream parlour and full shop next door for your convenience Hosts and staff very friendly and helpful

The Black Pearl has self contained apar**ents poolside with a fab beach across the rd, friendly helpful staff and central to everything in Raro. Byo, cook your own or go out...the choice is yours. A relaxing environment with a great vibe xxx

Paul and Janelle are exceptional hosts the property is fabulous! The accommodation is roomy, nicely decorated, and has everything you need! The grounds are immaculate and the swimming pool is sparkling and inviting! The beach is directly across the road and next door is a coincidence store, dining place, and ice-cream parlor! The shared outdoor space was awesome to socialize in! The staff are friendly and helpful, from booking excursions to giving extra towels! I will definitely return to The Black Pearl!

Lovely beach across the road, a well-stocked shop next door and the bus stop just along the road means this is a good place to stay if you want to have some peace and quiet, away from the main resort areas. It is a good middle-of-the-road option. The units are roomy and the beds comfortable. Hosts were very accomodating and staff all pleasant. I would stay here again
