The room was okay but no micro wave and the mattress was not the best .

Terrible booked for two night end it up staying away. Lost my money and owner refuse to refund. The smell is awful check under the sheets and you will find dirt. Thank you for the bedbugs.

Where to start; dirty room, dead bugs on floor, and some live ones coming in through the space where the door had been forced open and the wood mangled. Cobwebs with enormous spiders in the room entrance and even the entrance to the lobby, horrible smell, sheets stained with what looked like blood, carton instead of window on nearby room, trash piled behind the dumpster. We were unable to stay and turned in the key. Reusting refund. Pix to post

The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was tight but clean. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The bathroom was old and tub was rusted out. The tub would not drain properly. There were bugs in the bathroom. The curtain in the room was so long it covered the AC vent. Had to anchor it to keep it from billowing out all night. Bed was hard with no padding. Very uncomfortable. They promised a home cooked breakfast that unfortunately was not ready before we had to leave.We moved to a nearby town the next day to a Hampton Inn that was very nice and it was as cheaper to stay there. Don’t book a room here.

Breakfast was great. The room reeked of smoke. So bad that I had to keep my clothes in the car to keep them for smelling like smoke. The room and especially the bathroom had not been updated in decades. The paint was worn off of the toilet seat.

Room did not look like the picture on hotel.com what so ever. Walked into the room with the very strong pungent smell of cigarette smoke. The bedspreads and blankets had large stains on them, the sheets and pillows had hair on all of them. The motel room was on the first floor and the widow did not lock. The entrance door knob was loose, no dead bolt, no additional safety lock. Put a chair under the door knob trying to help secure the door. Used the rod from the bathroom towel rack in the window. Heard rocks being thrown at the window thruout the night. Multiple knocks on the front door thru the night. Unable to sleep due to the terrible headache from the smoke and not feeling safe. No other rooms in the area available due to festival occurring. Office hours listed 0730-2200 according to listing on hotel.com website. Went to office at 0810 and the office was closed. Rang the intercom and the manager refused to come speak in person, he did not want to hear complaints, he told me to speak to the cook and hung up. The cook was a very kind lady and said she would give a refund if she could but doesn't have access. She said the room I stayed in smells the worst of cigarette smoke due to an extended stay customer who smoked in the room. Horrible experience, do not stay at this motel!!!!

Breakfast was the very best part of our stay at the Schooner Bay Motor Inn. Kelly, the cook, makes wonderful frittatas and quiches, blueberry bread pudding and she can bake up a storm, the pistachio muffins were spectacular! The owner was very help us in directions for the various attractions and the best place to park for the Lobster Festival! Plus, winery's with fantastic views and restaurants. Enjoyed all the spots he recommended! On the minus side, while clean, the rooms are old, flooring worn and in dire need of updating.

What a fantastic place to stay! No complaints at all. And then so surprising with the breakfast in the morning. Not just coffee and donuts but a full spread of all kinds of goodies. The lady responsible for that breakfast deserves an awful lot of credit.
