It’s rare for me to comment but this slightly negative review has more to do with hotel reception reluctantly accomodating a room change for a safety issue I had brought up in a discussion during a previous stay at the same property. It was as if nothing had happened! It was explained any change would be difficult since I booked with a ‘third party.’ There was also another issue I explained on initial check in that I had 2 separate reservations for the weekend, realizing that I didn’t want to travel on Super Bowl Sunday I extended a night thru **********. I asked if I had to check out & then back in. No was their reply. Not only did I explain it to reception on initial check in, I went back Saturday night & asked again. I was out most all Sunday & when I returned back to my room in the early evening I was locked out. Not a good feeling! It’s absurd to think hotel properties are using the ‘booking through third party’ excuse for not providing good customer service.

Because of flight delays, I arrive around 2:30 am. The desk agent could not have been more helpful and kind after a long day of travel. A few hours later I met a business colleague at the Hotel restaurant for breakfast where both the service and the food were exceptional. Same experience on day 2! The room I selected was basic in size but rich in amenities with a lovely bathroom, coffee machine, bath amenities, and comfortable bed. The entire vibe at the hotel was contemporary historic. I would definitely stay here again.

Extremely strange room (1301-two beds and could barely walk by them and the bathroom was two steps above room level), and an even stranger plumbing system (lots of air in the pipes with lots of pops and spitting).

we love the Citizen Hotel and they are most accommodating. Our only complaint about our room was the shower head. The water came out so splayed that it made it difficult to shower and wash our hair.

Amazing! Small room but high end. Love the mix of old hotel with new comfort/tech.

The hotel itself idle fine and there were no issues with the actual room, but I was charged for valet parking and I never parked a car with the hotel or had any conversations with anyone about parking my car.

Ok hotel. First room we had, the carpet was wet. We moved to another room, not too much empathy on the inconvenience. They didn’t give us all the vip info from *******, I had to ask. The coffee was empty Sunday morning, but the person did offer to get some. Again, they had some opportunities to provide good service and just didn’t recognize them. Not a bad place at all, but underwhelmed considering price and how they market themselves. Location is the primary reason to stay here if you are going to events at the arena.

Convenient location. Easy walk to the arena and. Couple of blocks away from restaurants and bars. The property was noisy. The grill of the AC keep vibrating and the other guest keep talking loud outside the room. Nice restaurant and BAR. Staff was very friendly
